star this property answer text <p>Following the UK’s decision to leave the EU, new project approvals have been experiencing some delays due to the EIB carrying out additional due diligence. The Bank is seeking to protect itself against changes to its operating conditions which could come about as a result of a change of status when we leave the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has been clear that UK rights and responsibilities should continue to be respected while we are in the EU, consistent with the EU’s own negotiating guidelines. This means that EU finance, including from the EIB Group, must remain available to UK borrowers.</p><p> </p><p>Recent progress has been made with two new UK projects being approved in September. The government now expects that new UK projects will continue to be progressed in line with EIB procedure</p> more like this

HMT will work with departments and DExEU over the coming weeks to refine estimates of departmental requirements and will allocate 18/19 funding in early 2018. Departmental allocations for 2019-20 will be agreed later in 2018-19. Departmental allocations from the Reserve will be set out at Supplementary Estimates in the relevant year as is usual.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In April 2015, the government introduced a charge on non-residents’ gains on the direct disposal of UK residential property.</p><p> </p><p>At Autumn Budget 2017, the government announced that a charge would be extended to gains made on disposals of all UK residential and commercial property by non-residents, including disposals made indirectly through the sale of shares in a property rich company.</p><p> </p><p>A technical consultation was launched at Budget. This is focused on the detailed implementation of this policy, and does not solicit views on wider changes to the UK property tax regime.</p><p> </p><p>It is the government’s policy that all double taxation treaties should permit gains on the direct and indirect disposal of UK immovable property to be taxed in the UK. An avoidance rule was introduced with immediate effect from Autumn Budget 2017 to prevent non-residents from abusing existing treaties to avoid the new charge.</p><p> </p> more like this

In September it was announced Prison Officers would see an above 1% rise for 2017/18, funded from the Ministry of Justice budget. In the NHS specifically, there are unique pressures this year: there are more operations than ever and more people going to A&amp;E than ever. That’s why we’re giving the NHS as a whole additional funding, with the potential for extra funding for pay.</p><p> </p><p>For all workforces in 2018/19, PRBs will look at the evidence and make recommendations in the Spring/Summer.</p> more like this
