	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/07/2018 answer text <p><del class="ministerial">The government’s sport strategy “Sporting Future” highlighted the importance of welfare and wellbeing for everyone participating in elite sport, regardless of age.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">In March 2018 I published a mental health and elite sport action plan, based on discussions I held with sportspeople and key stakeholders from across the sport and mental health sectors. The plan sets out a range of actions to improve the support available to athletes, the sharing of best practice across the sport sector, and mental health education and training in sport.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">As highlighted in the plan, UK Sport has worked with key agencies to develop a Mental Health Strategy, being implemented during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games cycle (2017-2021). The aim of the strategy is to deliver positive mental health for all people operating in the high performance system, for athletes as well as senior leaders, coaches, practitioners and administrators.</del></p><p> </p><ins class="ministerial">The government’s sport strategy “Sporting Future” highlighted the importance of focusing on groups that are particularly unlikely to take part in sport and physical activity, such as women and girls. It is vital we build on successes like the performance of England at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2017 to inspire more girls and women to get involved in sport.</ins> <ins class="ministerial">Sport England, government’s arm’s length body for community sport, is funding both the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Rugby Football League (RFL) to build capacity and encourage participation. Both of these national governing bodies have also partnered with Sport England’s “This Girl Can” campaign, to encourage more women and girls to get involved with their sports. This concluded that the issues raised in the complaint merit further examination. The Initial Assessment is not an indication of any wrongdoing by the respondent. The UK National Contact Point is now working with both parties to facilitate mediation on the issues raised. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/07/2018 answer text <p>In relation to the £2.5 billion of new funding for BBB’s Patient Capital Programme (BPC), this is not allocated on a regional basis but rather is a programme which operates nationally and will make investments wherever suitable opportunities arise.</p><p> </p><p>Across the UK, programmes operated by the Government-owned British Business Bank are currently supporting over £5.2 billion of finance to more than 74,000 smaller businesses. Additionally, since 2012 the Start-Up Loans programme has delivered more than 55,000 loans, totalling over £415m. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/07/2018 answer text <p>In February 2017, testing for Lynch syndrome was recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as important in identifying genetic predisposition to bowel cancer, which could lead to better outcomes for patients through earlier diagnosis and treatment. The NICE guideline does not carry a funding direction and therefore commissioners, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and NHS England, need to consider the implementation of the guidance alongside other priorities and any financial impact on pathology services and genetic testing services. Also, the NICE guidance recommends, but does not mandate, how healthcare professionals should apply the guidance to those diagnosed with bowel cancer.</p><p> </p><p>Barnsley, alongside other CCGs in the area, currently use a testing service in Leeds. It is not commissioned as it is being provided free of charge as part of a pilot piece of work. Referrals are made where hospital clinicians judge this to be appropriate.
