Typically, the short term unserviceable aircraft are undergoing minor works, forward maintenance or any other unforeseen rectification or technical inspection that can arise on a day-to-day basis. The sustainment fleet includes aircraft airframes undergoing upgrade or maintenance or being held in storage. The Ministry of Defence's approach to rehoming is in accordance with the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Code of Practice and is consistent with that taken by high profile, well respected animal charities.</p><p>Decisions are taken following an extensive assessment of the dogs and any potential new home.
