This case has highlighted the importance of tailoring support according to the individual needs of victims and, in response, we will be embedding a more needs-based approach in our services.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">In October 2017, Government announced an ambitious package of reforms to the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) – our system for identifying and supporting victims of modern slavery. We have already made significant progress in delivering this complex reform programme and we will continue to drive improvements to the services available to ensure they are meeting the recovery needs of victims.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">The Government is committed to stamping out modern slavery and providing victims with the support they need to rebuild their lives.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">We are always working to improve our understanding of the complex needs of victims of modern slavery and to improve the support available.</ins></p><p><ins class="ministerial">In October 2017, Government announced an ambitious package of reforms to the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) – our system for identifying and supporting victims of modern slavery. Paediatric neurology services in Nottinghamshire are provided by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, with clinics delivered across several sites. To assist with increased activity and meet the requirement of its service specification for tertiary centres, NHS England has awarded additional funding to the Nottingham paediatric neurology service to recruit a full complement of multi-disciplinary staff. This strategy will explore how we can tackle the key drivers of ill-health in England, reduce pressure on the National Health Service and reduce ill-health-related labour market inactivity.</p><p> </p><p>The Strategy will focus on six major groups of conditions, including musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders. MSK conditions affect people across the life course and cover a range of conditions, including inflammatory conditions such as axial spondyloarthritis.</p><p> </p><p>We have now published our initial report ‘Major Conditions Strategy: Case for change and our strategic framework’. It sets out what we have learned so far, and shares what we plan to focus on next to develop the final strategy.</p><p> </p><p>For MSK conditions, it sets out that we will look to: improve secondary prevention and the use of non-pharmaceutical interventions, embedding a biopsychosocial and personalised approach and building upon the progress made through the NHS Long Term Plan; advocate the use of population health management methodologies to target the right kind of support based on individual circumstances and need to those who need it most; and aim to improve services where medical treatment is necessary.</p><p>Following publication of the strategic framework, we will continue to develop the strategy, informed by the Call for Evidence and ongoing engagement with stakeholders.</p> answering member constituency Colchester answering member printed Will Quince question first answered 23/10/2023 10:46:07 answering member 4423 label Biography information for Will Quince

This includes the reauthorisation of licences for 33 existing areas alongside licences for 11 additional areas. The legislation was designed to harness pressure from civil society and we are pleased that NGOs are using company statements to hold businesses to account. Two independent repository websites have been set up to collate these statements. The Government is not involved in running or funding either website. Both websites make different estimates of the total number of statements published so far. The latest estimates can be accessed online at <a href="http://www.modernslaveryregistry.org" target="_blank">http://www.modernslaveryregistry.org</a> and <a href="https://tiscreport.org" target="_blank">https://tiscreport.org</a></p><p>The Government is committed to working with businesses and civil society to drive greater compliance and higher quality reporting. The Home Secretary has established the ‘Business Against Slavery Forum’ with CEOs of 13 large multi-national corporations, which aims to accelerate progress in tackling modern slavery, by sharing best practice and offering support to smaller businesses.
