star this property answer text <p>I am aware of the recent safety alert in relation to certain brands and models of tumble drier and understand that the manufacturer concerned is working with Trading Standards to take appropriate corrective action.</p><br /><p>My officials are in regular contact with industry about the safety of electrical products, including tumble driers. Officials are also regularly in contact with their opposite numbers in other Member States to discuss safety issues and with those involved in standardisation, for example the British Standards Institution, where standards are updated to reflect advances in technology and problems identified with products in service.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>There have been 324,800 apprenticeship starts in the manufacturing technologies sector subject area nationally in the last parliament (May 2010 to April 2015).</p><br /><p>In North Lincolnshire Local Authority there have been 1,500 apprenticeship starts in the manufacturing technologies sector subject area in the last parliament (May 2010 to April 2015).</p><br /><p>We are committed to reaching 3 million apprenticeship starts in England by 2020.</p><p>The locations and sectors where apprenticeships are available are determined by employers choosing to offer apprenticeships and recruit apprentices. star this property answer text <br /><p>The Learner Support budget is predominantly demand-led and meets the costs of Discretionary Learner Support for grant-funded learners and the Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund for loan-funded learners. It also covers the government’s costs of the Professional and Career Development Loan scheme and Dance and Drama Awards for young adults.</p><br /><p>The forecasted total expenditure for the 2015-16 financial year currently stands at around £132 million. Discretionary Learner Support assists the most learners and may equate to nearly £86 million, while the Bursary Fund may equate to about £35 million of the expenditure. The remainder will be for the costs of Professional and Career Development Loans (c£2.5 million) and Dance and Drama Awards (c£8.5 million).</p><br /> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Innovate UK has established a network of 10 Catapult Centres covering a broad range of markets and technologies and Government investment will be around £557 million by 2015/16 but the future allocation between the individual catapults has not yet been finalised”. It has already expanded the network by announcing, in July, that a Medicines Technologies Catapult would be established and developed at Alderley Park in Cheshire.</p><br /><p>Innovate UK will be publishing its revised Strategy for 2016-20 in the spring and this will set out plans for evaluation of the Catapult network.</p><br /> more like this
