Member should also know that it is not unusual for Her Majesty’s Government to provide additional Opposition days.</p><p>As with Opposition Days, the allocation of Backbench Business days is set out in Standing Orders. Again, a motion to provide for additional time is not required. I am sure the hon. Member will acknowledge that in previous Parliaments, HMG provided additional time beyond the requirement of the Standing Orders. I am happy to consider any reasonable request for additional time for Backbench Business subject to the progress of Government business.</p><p>As mentioned in UIN <a href="http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-question/Commons/2017-07-05/3021/" target="_blank">3021</a>, the hon.
