star this property answer text <p>Table 1 shows the proportion of offenders aged under 18 in youth custody by breakdown of ethnicity in each year since April 2010 based on the monthly average custody population. This is likely to be due to improved recording systems.</p><p> </p><p>It is important to note that there have been decreases in the absolute numbers of Black and Minority Ethnic young offenders in custody between 2010/11 and 2013/14 for most ethnic groups.</p>
