star this property answer text <p>The Apprenticeship Grant for Employers provides £1,500 to help smaller employers recruit a new apprentice aged 16 to 24. We have made £170m additional funding available over 2014-16 financial years to fund over 100,000 additional incentive payments. Provisional figures show that between Feb 2012 and July 2014 there were 95,200 apprenticeship starts for which a payment was made through the AGE Grant. A further 8,200 were in the pipeline (started but not yet paid).</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Apprenticeship reforms are putting employers in the lead of designing apprenticeships, making it easier and more attractive for them to offer more in the future. Funding reforms will also provide a financial incentive to support smaller businesses taking on an apprentice.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Quindell plc is Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listed which is controlled by London Stock Exchange and any enquiry relating to possible market abuse sits within the remit of the Financial Conduct Authority.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s Insolvency Service has discretionary powers under the Companies Acts to conduct enquiries on behalf of the Secretary of State where it appears that there has been misconduct in relation to the affairs of any company, including those not subject to formal insolvency.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>For the investigation process to be effective it is essential to maintain confidentiality at all stages and there is also a need to protect the commercial interest of companies against the danger of damage from malicious complaints. For these reasons there are legal restrictions on disclosing information obtained during an enquiry and The Service does not confirm or deny whether an investigation of a particular company is taking place.</p><p> </p><p>Where other regulators and investigating agencies are involved, the Insolvency Service would liaise closely to ensure public money is not wasted duplicating resources.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

This captures a range of food preparations; it is not possible to split the data to show the amount (value or volume) of UK imports of artificial sweeteners in 2013 separately. star this property answer text <p>The British Business Bank became an operationally independent organisation on 1<sup>st</sup> November 2014. It does not make loans directly to businesses. Instead, it works with private sector delivery partners to deliver all of its programmes, allowing it to pull in significant amounts of private sector funding.</p><p>The Bank’s programmes are already supporting businesses in Northern Ireland. Through the Start Up Loans programme 205 loans have already been offered to start-up businesses in Northern Ireland with a total value of nearly £1m. The Enterprise Finance Guarantee programme has facilitated lending of £39.3m to 271 businesses.</p><p>Additionally, the Bank’s investment programmes, which provide lending through alternative finance providers, have so far facilitated 112 loans to businesses in Northern Ireland with a total value of £5.9m.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Small businesses are vital to our economy and our small business owners have driven this economic recovery. The Gillingham and Rainham constituency has benefitted from a number of support schemes. The Business Bank’s Start-Up Loan programme has already provided 15 loans, with a value of £88,800 to people starting a business in Gillingham and Rainham. And since May 2010, the Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme has supported 10 loans in the area with a total value of £1.06m.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We are committed to making Britain the best place in the world to start and grow a business, and are doing this in a number of ways, including:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><ul><li>£10 billion of financing will be unlocked for smaller business over the next 5 years by our British Business Bank;</li><li>Government grants of up to £3,000 for better internet connectivity are available to small businesses;</li></ul><p> </p><p>· The Business Support Helpline is available to provide bespoke information and advice;</p><p> </p><p>· £2,000 cut from the National Insurance bills of small firms from the new Employment Allowance; and</p><p> </p><p>· The Growth Accelerator scheme has supported over 19,800 firms and is on track to create 55,000 jobs and deliver £2.2 billion of economic growth by March 2015.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
