The assessment found that county lines continue to be at the forefront of drug supply nationally and have evolved in response to environmental changes.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The county lines business model remains heavily weighted towards the supply of heroin and crack cocaine. NCLCC’s latest assessment indicates that there has been a reduction in the total number of potentially active deal lines, with numbers reported to have fallen from between 800-1,100 in 2019/20 to 600 in 2020/21.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">We continue to work with partners to address the underlying drivers of exploitation and ensure support and protection is in place for children exploited through county lines criminality. Wehave funded specialist support for victims of county lines exploitation to deliver one-to-one support to under 25s and their families in the three largest county lines exporting force areas</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">This Government is also delivering a range of initiatives to tackle youth violence including investing over £105.5 million from 2019 to 2022, (VRUs). The Home Office also works closely with the Department for Education to tackle youth violence.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">We will continue to use data on rates of drug use to monitor trends and inform the Government’s approach to addressing drugs and drug harms’.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The Government acknowledges the strength of feeling on juvenile CHIS, however, we must recognise that some juveniles are involved in serious crimes, as perpetrators and victims. In some circumstances a young person may have unique access to information or intelligence that could play a vital part in preventing or detecting serious offences.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">Young people are only authorised as CHIS in rare circumstances. Between January 2015 and December 2018, there were only 17 instances where law enforcement bodies deployed those under 18 years old as CHIS, and their participation in criminal conduct is rarer still.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The Covert Human Intelligence Sources (Criminal Conduct) Act 2021 includes a commitment on the face of the legislation that young people will only be authorised to undertake criminal conduct in exceptional circumstances.</del></p><p><ins class="ministerial">In May 2021, the National County Lines Coordination Centre published the latest County Lines strategic assessment. This case has highlighted the importance of tailoring support according to the individual needs of victims and, in response, we will be embedding a more needs-based approach in our services.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">In October 2017, Government announced an ambitious package of reforms to the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) – our system for identifying and supporting victims of modern slavery. Friend Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a £1.25 billion coronavirus package to protect firms driving innovation in the UK. This included £750 million of targeted support for the most R&amp;D intensive small and medium size firms which will be available through Innovate UK’s grants and loan scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has since confirmed that up to £500 million of this is for existing customers including £20<ins class="ministerial">0</ins> million of accelerated payments and up to £30<ins class="ministerial">0</ins> million for continuity grants and loans. £20 million of the remainder has been used to double the number of businesses receiving funding through the Innovate UK call for business led innovation in response to the crisis which was open to new customers. Over 800 companies have been successful in this competition. Innovate UK has also allocated up to £39 million to increase the business advisory support services available new and existing high-growth potential SMEs.</p><p> </p><p>The final part of this package was announced on the 27<sup>th</sup> June. These agreements help to avoid placing homes and businesses in unnecessary blight, protect commercially sensitive information of both parties and the personal information of those potentially affected by any proposed changes to the scheme. HS2 Ltd’s Register shows <del class="ministerial">342</del> <ins class="ministerial">339 </ins>such agreements have been put in place. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/01/2020 answer text <p>Last year the government announced its intention to review how online advertising is regulated in the UK, looking at how well the current regime is equipped to tackle the challenges posed by developments in online advertising. <del class="ministerial">The interim report can be found here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/news/cma-lifts-the-lid-on-digital-giants" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/news/cma-lifts-the-lid-on-digital-giants</a>.</del> <ins class="ministerial">The announcement can be found here: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/jeremy-wrights-statement-on-the-cairncross-review" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/jeremy-wrights-statement-on-the-cairncross-review</a>.</ins></p><p> </p><p>Currently, advertising in the UK is overseen by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), the industry’s independent regulator, which for online advertising enforces the Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct &amp; Promotional Marketing (CAP Code) through a system of self-regulation. The CAP Code incorporates all relevant legislation, including consumer protection legislation, and sets standards for accuracy and honesty to which advertisers must adhere. This system operates independently of government.</p><p> </p><p>The remit of the ASA extends to the online promotion of products by celebrities, if the celebrity has been paid (including payment in kind) by an advertiser, and the advertiser exerts some form of editorial control over the resulting content. To guarantee compliance with the CAP Code in such cases, advertisers must ensure that endorsements are genuine, claims are accurate and advertising is clearly identified as such. The products themselves must also adhere to relevant regulation and standards.</p><p> </p><p>If the advertiser does not exert some form of editorial control over the resulting content, consumer protection legislation still applies and is enforced instead by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The CMA works closely with the ASA in this area, and expects such content to clearly identify any commercial relationship and to have regard to the CAP Code.</p><p> </p><p>The Competition and Markets Authority recently investigated social media endorsements by influencers / celebrities to ensure that they were being clear to their followers, resulting in influencers / celebrities changing their practices. Rugby League is a fantastic example of how sport and physical activity can play a leading role in engaging people from every background.</p><p> </p><p>The Government’s <em>Sporting Future</em> strategy is explicit <del class="ministerial">that</del> that everyone, regardless of background, sex, age or level of ability should be able to engage in sport and physical activity as participants, spectators and in the workplace, and that sport and physical activity should be valued for the much broader positive impact it can have across a range of physical, social and economic outcomes.
