	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2019 answer text Preventing children and other vulnerable persons from being harmed by gambling is a priority for government and a core licensing objective for the Gambling Commission.<p><br>Operators offering gambling services to people in Great Britain must have a licence from the Gambling Commission and must have effective policies and procedures designed to prevent underage gambling. Where there is a failure to do so, the Gambling Commission has shown it is willing to act using the range of powers to act at its disposal.</p><p>The Gambling Commission has taken action to strengthen protections for young people. In May this year it introduced stricter age and identity verification controls, requiring all consumers to be age verified before they are able to deposit money or access free-to-play demo games. Government has also worked positively with five major operators resulting in commitments to using online technology where available to target gambling adverts away from people showing signs of problem gambling behaviour. They will also further share further data with to protect problem gamblers from experiencing further harm.</p><p>From September 2020, health education will be compulsory for all pupils in state-funded primary and secondary schools. This will cover education on online harms, including the risks related to online gambling. The non-statutory Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) programme of study, published by the PSHE Association, includes teaching about gambling and its psychological and financial impact. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2019 answer text <p>Youth services and their strategic partners provide crucial preventative and targeted interventions and are an important partner in the strategy to tackle serious violence.</p><p> </p><p>My Department allocated over £863m between 2014/15 and 2018/19 to youth programmes providing positive activities for young people.</p><p> </p><p>The Home Office’s £200m Youth Endowment Fund will deliver a ten-year programme of grants enabling interventions targeted at those who are most at risk of involvement in crime and violence in England and Wales. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/07/2019 answer text <p>We want to reduce children’s exposure to advertising for products high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS), including fast food where applicable, so have consulted on introducing a 9pm watershed on TV and similar protection online, as well as other possible options. Despite strict restrictions already being in place to prohibit HFSS product advertising around children’s programming, and similar protection online, evidence suggests children are still exposed to significant levels of HFSS advertising across the media they engage with most.</p><p> </p><p>There is no lead option in our consultation and we will be led by the evidence in determining the way forward. The consultation closed last month, and is available to view at https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/further-advertising-restrictions-for-products-high-in-fat-salt-and-sugar. To that end, museums and galleries in the region receive public funding from a variety of sources, including Arts Council England, National Heritage Lottery Fund, local authorities and others, as well as benefiting from a range of tax reliefs and grants. For instance, three regional museums and galleries in Derby and Nottingham were awarded funding from the £4 million DCMS/Wolfson Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund this year, and we look forward to seeing their projects take shape. A safer gambling advertising campaign was one of a range of measures to strengthen protections around gambling advertising and more widely, to ensure that the sector is socially responsible and doing all it can to protect consumers.</p><p> </p><p>The campaign was launched in February and the initial message, ‘Bet Regret’, is aimed at reducing risky or impulsive betting on sports, particularly by young men. Campaign activity has been closely monitored and a tracking study conducted at the end of the first burst of TV advertising suggests that the campaign is well-targeted and is effectively reaching the intended audience. We are establishing the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund – backed by up to £315m of investment – to help businesses with high energy use (including steel companies) to cut their bills and transition UK industry to a low carbon future. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/07/2019 answer text <p>We are currently undertaking analysis regarding the number of businesses this will affect.</p><p> </p><p>The UK and the EU agree that the continued free flow of personal data is an important underpinning feature of the future relationship for both economic and security purposes. In 2017, around 40% of the EU’s service exports to the UK were data-enabled worth approximately £30bn, and around 70% of the UK’s service exports to the EU were data-enabled, worth approximately £80bn. This demonstrates that it is in everyone’s interests that the exchange of personal data between EU Member States and the UK continues in the event of a no deal scenario. The EU has an established mechanism to allow the free flow of personal data to countries outside the EU, namely adequacy decisions and the UK stands ready to begin the adequacy assessment process right away.</p><p> </p><p>In the event of no deal, given the degree of alignment between the UK and EU’s data protection regimes, the UK will transitionally recognise all EEA states, EU adequate third countries, EU and EEA institutions, and Gibraltar, as though they have been subject to an affirmative adequacy decision by the UK. This will allow personal data to continue to flow freely from the UK to the EU. The UK would keep all of these decisions under review.</p><p> </p><p>In a no deal scenario, the UK does not expect the European Commission to have made adequacy decisions regarding the UK at the point of exit. This means UK and EU organisations should take steps to mitigate any impact in this scenario by implementing alternative transfer mechanisms to send personal data from the EU to the UK.
