The table below shows a breakdown by role although for security reasons two Strategic Command posts are not included.</p><p> </p><p>While broadly similar, the three services and Strategic Command use slightly different criteria for 'command appointments' because of their structural differences. However, there are no plans to introduce a special service medal. Since 2010, our submariners receive the Deterrent Patrol Pin recognising the professionalism, dedication and commitment displayed by those who have deployed on ballistic missile submarine patrols. They are also signposted to the full range of support and assistance available for welfare matters, including gambling. New officers are trained how to identify and support those under their command who are experiencing financial difficulties, including those caused by gambling.</p><p>There are no plans to enact legislation similar to that of the United States' Gambling Addiction Prevention Act 2019. The Strategy reinforced the importance of effective international partnering in delivering next generation combat air and building on mutual strengths. The Strategy also confirmed that we will seek to maximise interoperability, especially with the United States, wider NATO, European and global allies and partners.
