star this property answer text <p>On 18<sup>th</sup> February 2019, the Secretary of State for International Trade signed the UK-Israel Trade and Partnership Agreement, which ensures continuity in our trade and investment relationship after the proposed Implementation Period, or if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. Securing continuity is the strongest foundation on which to build further on our successful trading relationship.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is committed to strengthening our excellent bilateral relationship through the dedicated trade promotion team at our Embassy in Tel-Aviv. We continue to engage with the Israeli Ministry of Economy and Industry and liaise with the government to maximise future trade opportunities.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The United Kingdom-Israel Trade and Partnership Agreement was signed on 18<sup>th</sup> February 2019. This Agreement will enter into force at the end of the Transition Period on 1<sup>st</sup> January 2021 and will allow businesses to trade as freely as they do now, without additional tariffs or barriers.</p><p> </p><p>Total trade between the United Kingdom and Israel increased by 15 per cent in 2019 to £5.1bn. We value this trade relationship and are committed to strengthening it, so we will seek to work with counterparts in the new Israeli government to host a bilateral trade and investment summit in London.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The United Kingdom does not recognise the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including settlements, as part of Israel.</p><p> </p><p>For this reason, goods imported from the settlements are not entitled to benefit from trade preferences under the United Kingdom-Israel Trade and Partnership Agreement. We will maintain this approach. star this property answer text <p>The United Kingdom’s trade relationship with Israel is already strong, totalling £4.9 billion in the four quarters to the end of Q3 2020. The United Kingdom-Israel Trade and Partnership Agreement entered into force on 1<sup>st</sup> January 2021. As the Foreign Secretary noted, the United Kingdom is now able to start scoping for greater ambition in our trade relationship with Israel. Science and innovation are key elements of this relationship and we are currently building a framework for a new Britain-Israel Science Partnership. Moreover, the ‘TechHub’, based in British Embassy Tel Aviv, continues to partner Israeli expertise with British companies, delivering significant benefits to the British economy.</p> more like this

The Foreign Secretary and Israeli Foreign Minister Lapid discussed the Middle East Peace Process, including how to improve the situation in Gaza, during their meeting on 29 November. The memorandum of understanding, signed on 29 November and accessible here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/uk-israel-strategic-partnership-memorandum-of-understanding-2021, commits to the development of a new, bespoke UK-Israel Bilateral Roadmap.
