Currently1, 2 and 3 car trains service the Ipswich to Cambridge route. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/06/2019 answer text <p>The Department holds performance data on a rail period (13 four-week periods per year) basis, rather than according to calendar months.</p><p>For punctuality we hold the data as the Public Performance Measure (PPM), the percentage of trains arriving at their destination within five minutes of schedule. For reliability we hold the data as Cancellations and Significant Lateness, the percentage of services that are cancelled or delayed by more than thirty minutes.</p><p>The periodic results for the Thameslink route between Bedford and London, covering all days of the week in both directions, are contained in the table below. This does include the vast majority of services that passengers from Bedford would use, except for a small number of services which stop at all stations south of St Albans, which are counted in a separate ‘metro’ category. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/06/2019 answer text <p>On 25 April 2019, Crossrail Ltd (CRL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Transport for London, announced that it had agreed a plan to complete the outstanding works and bring the Elizabeth line into passenger service at the earliest possible date.</p><p> </p><p>Given the risks and uncertainties remaining on the project, CRL has identified a six-month delivery window for opening of the central section with a midpoint at the end of 2020.</p><p> </p><p>The revised schedule will continue to be tested by CRL and the CRL Board through a thorough assurance process including close scrutiny from the Project Representative. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government is investing heavily in better transport infrastructure for the West Midlands.</p><p> </p><p>We have committed around £115 million to two ‘large local major’ schemes, which are now under construction – the A4440 Worcester Southern Relief Road (Carrington Bridge) and the Birmingham Centenary Square tram extension - with more than £400m committed to a further nine road and public transport schemes in the West Midlands.</p><p>HS2 is already playing a huge part of the Midlands’ success story, with work well under way at over 60 sites including major development at Curzon Street and Washwood Heath. It will put Birmingham at the heart of Britain’s new high speed network, including two stations within the Birmingham area.</p><p> </p><p>We have allocated £321.5m from the Transforming Cities Fund to West Midlands Combined Authority who are using it to build the Brierley Hill tram extension.</p><p> </p><p>On the strategic road network, Highways England has just started construction on widening the A500 Etruria Valley, a £17.5m investment.</p><p>In Rail Control Period 5, we funded a number of schemes in the West Midlands, including the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street, upgrade and electrification of the Chase Line, and extension of the Cross City Line from Longbridge to Bromsgrove.</p><p> </p><p>We also provided £5m to Midlands Connect to develop a strategic outline business case for the Midlands Rail Hub programme. We expect this to be submitted to the Department in June 2019.</p><p> </p><p>In November 2018, the Infrastructure and Pipeline Authority published their Analysis of the National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline.
