	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/06/2019 answer text <p>The Government recognises the devastating impact that violence and abuse can have, not only for victims, but also for businesses, and the wider community. This is why it is vital that we continue to work closely with retailers, the police and others to tackle these crimes.</p><p>The Home Office Commercial Victimisation Survey (CVS) is a survey of the extent of crime against business premises in England and Wales and includes a specific focus on crimes against wholesale and retail premises. Compared to the 2016 survey results, the 2017 CVS showed a statistically significant increase in assaults and threats (up from 524 incidents per 1,000 premises to 1,433 incidents per 1,000 premises).</p><p>To address this issue I chair the National Retail Crime Steering Group (NRCSG) which brings together partners including the police, trade bodies and retailers and oversees a range of work to tackle retail crime, including violence and abuse towards shop workers.</p><p>In addition, on 5 April the Home Office launched a call for evidence on violence and abuse towards shop staff. The aim of this work is to strengthen our understanding of the issue, including how existing legislation is being applied. We continue to work together with our Five Eyes partners on our shared global security interests and to harness the power of this international alliance, including through intelligence-sharing.</p><p>The UK will continue to invest in the relationship and take a leading role, including by hosting the Five Countries Ministerial conference this summer. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/05/2019 answer text <p>The Office for Students has delegated responsibility, from the Secretary of State for Education, for monitoring compliance of the Prevent Duty in the higher education (HE) sector. The latest Office for Students monitoring report shows high levels of compliance, with over 97% of universities and other HE providers having due regard for the duty.</p><p>Under this delegation, the Secretary of State asked the Office for Students to move towards a more risk based monitoring approach, ensuring resources are targeted where most needed. The Office for Students updated their monitoring framework to reflect this, which took effect in September 2018.</p><p>The Government provides direct support to the sector on implementation of Prevent through a network of ‘further education / higher education’ (FE/HE) regional co-ordinators who work directly with higher and further education institutions, and provide them with the advice, support and training they need to build their and their students’ resilience to extremism and radicalisation. There is also published Government guidance for the sector on Prevent implementation. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2019 answer text <p>The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 introduced two measures that give communities and victims an input into policies and approaches on tackling anti-social behaviour. They are the Community Trigger and the Community Remedy.</p><p>The Community Trigger, also known as the anti-social behaviour case review, gives victims of persistent anti-social behaviour the ability to demand a formal case review (where a locally defined threshold is met), in order to determine whether there is further action which can be taken.
