star this property answer text <p>The main costs incurred for State Opening relate to maintenance works to support areas such as broadcasting and digital, as well as the installation works for the Royal Gallery, Robing Room, House of Lords Chamber and other areas. Costs are incurred for labour, both directly employed and specialist contractors, as well as transportation for items held in storage off site and the works required to the security barriers around St Stephens entrance.</p><p>Costs are split between the House of Commons, who pay 60%, and the House of Lords, who pay 40%. The table shows the House of Commons share for the last five years. Data for May 2022 is not yet available. star this property answer text <p>The Delivery Authority and Parliament's R&amp;R Client Team have been working to the mandate set out in the resolutions of both Houses in July 2022 and the Parliamentary Buildings (Restoration and Renewal) Act 2019.</p><p>In line with the mandate set by the Houses, the Delivery Authority is currently developing a wide range of options for the restoration and renewal work. These options will be considered by the R&amp;R Programme Board and the R&amp;R Client Board in the coming months.</p><p>Both Houses will be asked to approve a way forward later this year and will receive high-level cost and schedule information to inform this decision.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Following further review of cases linked to the estate, UKHSA have identified 143 positive cases occurring between the 4th October–16th November. However, due to delays in reporting, additional cases may yet be identified that tested positive between 12th November and 16th November.</p><p>This review identified that over 50% of positive cases had not been reported by members of the Parliamentary community to the Parliamentary test and trace team.</p><p>Data recorded by the House is held solely for the purpose of supporting test and trace and is only recorded for 21 days where an individual notifies us.</p><p>Details on weekly cases are held for the last five weeks only following the UKHSA review. The confidentiality statement not only refers to handling personal information but also Classified and Official Secret information too. The use of non-disclosure agreements in severance agreements is widespread and lawful.</p><p>In entering into contracts with other organisations, we do not want to restrict their freedom of action in dealing with their own staff in line with their own terms and conditions and in accordance with the law. This is important in ensuring that our contracts are not onerous to manage for either party.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The House of Commons Commission has implemented relevant Government guidance which at times required individuals to work from home. Since legal restrictions were lifted no member of House staff has been required to work from home where this would have an impact on their health.</p><p>Arrangements for their staff are a matter for the Member as the employer, who likewise have been able to allow their staff to work on the estate once legal restrictions were lifted where there was a health need.</p><p>The health and wellbeing of all on the estate remains the highest priority for the Commission. A range of services are offered by the House to support the wellbeing of Members and staff, including:</p><ul><li>Mental Health Guidance, including Mental Health: A Guide for Managers</li><li>Wellness Action Plans</li><li>In partnership with Mind – a number of additional resources recognising the impact of Coronavirus on individuals</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme</li><li>Occupational Health, Wellbeing &amp; Medical Services</li></ul><p><br>Through the use of these tools suitable arrangements for an individual can be put in place based on their specific circumstances.</p>
