star this property answer text <p>In August last year, my department published the Civil Society Strategy, in which the Government committed to review the guidance which sets out the statutory duty placed on local authorities to provide appropriate local youth services. star this property answer text <p>The government reduced the maximum stake on B2 gaming machines from £100 to £2, to help stop extreme losses by those who were least able to afford them. We engaged with the gambling industry to understand the potential impact on jobs, both as proposals were developed and following the announcement.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>William Hill has said that it will provide support to workers affected as part of its consultation process on shop closures.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The government will engage with William Hill to establish the level of employee support that may be required. star this property answer text <p>Charities should be safe spaces for everyone; whether employees, volunteers or members of the public. Abuse of any kind is abhorrent and charity leaders must take a zero tolerance approach to misconduct and make sure proper protections are in place.</p><p> </p><p>DCMS has funded research into bullying behaviours in the charity sector as part of its Domestic Charity Safeguarding Programme. The report, launched on the 10 June, provides evidence on charity behaviours including case studies from whistleblowers. It must be the start of tangible change in those charities whose workplace culture does not currently reflect their values.</p><p> </p><p>Government’s involvement in the research strengthens our commitment to charity safeguarding and safer charity cultures and leadership. This is a commitment set out in the Civil Society Strategy.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Gatwick is a private commercial entity, therefore the airport is responsible for providing or improving tourist facilities and information within its site.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the promotional activity of VisitBritain, research shows that visitors planning on coming to the UK more often than not begin planning their activities 3 to 6 months ahead of their travel time. Therefore most of VisitBritain’s marketing activity is targeted at reaching potential visitors at this stage in their preparations.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain have developed a strong relationship with Gatwick airport and are working together to determine potential promotional opportunities for the future.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain also work with airports across the country to promote them to international visitors as a gateway for regions outside of London, such as the Discover England Fund project: Manchester As An International Gateway. They have also used imagery from the GREAT campaign to promote areas of the UK to incoming travellers in Heathrow airport.</p>

star this property answer text <p>In 2016 there were 363,064 international visits to Nottinghamshire, up 29% on the previous year. These visitors spent £128 million in Nottinghamshire, up 23% on the previous year.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain and VisitEngland are responsible for promoting the UK as a tourist destination, through a range of different initiatives and campaigns. VisitBritain receive annual grant-in-aid totalling £19.4m from DCMS and VisitEngland receive £7m.</p><p> </p><p>The Discover England Fund, administered by VisitEngland, has invested in the development of tourism product across the East Midlands area. Projects such as The Explorer’s Road, the US Connections project and the England’s Literary Greats have all received funding.</p><p> </p><p>Information from the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government indicate that Local Authorities spent £5.2m on tourism in 2016-17. <strong> </strong></p> more like this
