The survey results cover everyone employed by the NPS, both operational and administrative staff. A new provider was commissioned to deliver the service (now known as Structured Professional Support) in April 2018. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/05/2019 answer text <p>In 2017 the Crown Prosecution Service issued guidance that potting offences (throwing of excreta) to the face or head should be prosecuted under Section 24 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.</p><p> </p><p>It is not possible to identify court proceedings made for the specific offence of throwing excreta at prison staff from within the broader offence of “Cause administer poison/noxious things with intent to injure/aggrieve/annoy” (nor is it possible to distinguish who was the victim of the offence). This includes proposals for a statutory duty on local authorities in England to provide support. This consultation will help determine the level of funding required to support the new statutory duty. We estimate an early broad annual cost of around £90 million which the Secretary of State communicated to the House of Commons on the 13 May. The full costs will be informed by the consultation and taken into the Spending Review. The appropriate authorities decide, based on the evidence, whether the non-compliance event constitutes a breach and if so what action should be taken. The nature of breaches vary, and not all non-compliance events are classed as formal breaches requiring further action. For example, if the subject was at hospital or in custody at the time, and therefore unable to return to their curfew location in time for their curfew. We are monitoring the demand for and application of GPS location monitoring tags by decision makers and are considering whether there are additional categories of offenders who would be suitable.
