star this property answer text <p>In addition to the response to question 166319 on 20<sup>th</sup> March, we have also looked at the second and third oldest application, and both are also awaiting information from the customer, employer, and/or outcome of workplace assessment, for the case manager to proceed with the application.</p><p> </p><p>We currently have 7282 applications with case managers. It would be considerably resource intensive to look through all of these to identify the oldest that is not awaiting information from an external source. I can confirm that we do conduct internal checks on the older cases to ensure they are not unnecessarily delayed and that the average clearance time in February for all applications was 58 working days, with 42% of applications having a decision in 25 days.</p><p> </p><p><em>Please note that the data supplied is derived from unpublished management information, which was collected for internal departmental use only, and have not been quality assured to National Statistics or Official Statistics publication standard. The MOD continues to resource the process for ARAP but the process is slowed by the volume of ineligible applicants.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department fully understands that maintaining access to agomelatine for the management of major depression is vitally important to many people in this country.</p><p>We are aware that Teva a supplier of generic agomelatine 25mg tablets discontinued supplies in July 2019. However, we can confirm that supplies of agomelatine 25mg tablets are currently available from several other suppliers in volumes that are sufficient to meet normal United Kingdom demand. All patients who require agomelatine should be able to obtain a supply from their pharmacy.</p><p>We continue to work closely with industry and partners in the health system to help prevent shortages and to ensure that the risks to patients are minimised when supply issues do arise.</p> more like this

We want to reassure patients that our plans should ensure the uninterrupted supply of medicines and medical products, including those for use in the treatment of depression, once we have left the EU.</p><p>The Department, as part of our EU exit preparations, is implementing a multi-layered approach to mitigate potential disruption to supply, which consists of stockpiling where possible, securing freight capacity, changing or clarifying regulatory requirements, procuring additional warehousing, working closely with industry to improve trader readiness and putting in place the National Supply Disruption Response to manage potential shortages.
