This report presents a summary of the number of potential victims of modern slavery and human trafficking referred into the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) in 2018 and is the final annual report in this format, prior to the transfer of the NRM to the new Home Office Single Competent Authority in April 2019 as part of a wide-reaching NRM Reform Programme.</p><p>Further analysis is contained within the 2018 UK Annual Report on Modern Slavery. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/06/2019 answer text <p>The Home Office is committed to publishing data in an orderly way as part of the regular quarterly Immigration Statistics, in line with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics.</p><p><br>Latest statistics published on 24 May showed that 15,977 people have been resettled in the UK under the Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (VPRS) and 1,410 resettled through the Vulnerable Children’s Resettlement Scheme (VCRS). The Joint Money Laundering Intelligence Task Force brings together the financial sector with government to better detect and disrupt terrorist funding.</p><p>The 2017 Criminal Finance Act also strengthened law enforcements ability to identify, investigate and disrupt terrorist finance activity and work effectively with private sector partners.</p><p>The Government remains committed to tackling Right-Wing Extremism and extremist fundraising. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/06/2019 answer text <p>Under Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, large businesses with a turnover of £36m or more are required to publish annual modern slavery statements detailing the steps they are taking to prevent modern slavery in their organisation and supply chains. The requirement applies to all sectors, including fishing. The Government expects businesses to report transparently about the modern slavery risks they have identified and what actions they have taken in response.</p><p>The Home Office regularly engages with businesses across a range of sectors, including fishing, to accelerate progress in tackling modern slavery in global supply chains.</p><p>The Gangmasters Labour and Abuse Authority (GLAA) licenses UK businesses which provide workers to the farming, food processing and shellfish gathering sectors to make sure they meet the employment standards required by law; and carries out inspections and enforcement activity. In January 2019 changes were made to the Immigration Rules governing the Tier 5 visa for religious workers. The Government wrote to faith leaders in December, setting out the detail and rationale behind those changes.</p><p><br>We are embarking on an extensive programme of engagement, in connection with the future immigration system, and will be talking to representatives from a range of faith and community groups. The current BRP Collection contract is due to end in July 2019, however we do have an option to extend the contract for a further year to July 2020.
