	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/05/2019 answer text <p>The number of individuals who have been transferred or seconded to work in preparations for the United Kingdom to leave the European Union in other Government departments is not recorded.</p><p>Across the Department, staff are working on a range of policy areas related to EU Exit. Communications, analytical and legal staff also provide advice as required. Staff may have been redistributed within their directorates to support or undertake work which involves preparations for EU Exit. Officials may also have reprioritised their work to include EU Exit work, whilst remaining in their primary roles.</p><p>The Department is continually reviewing workforce plans, reprioritising and assessing changing needs, including identification and cessation of non-priority work where appropriate. 	question text	To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent discussions he has had with the Welsh Government on his Department's preparations for the UK leaving the EU without an agreement.

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/07/2019 answer text <p>The Department has been working directly with the Welsh Government and the other devolved administrations at Ministerial and official-level to minimise any disruption in the event of ‘no-deal’.</p><p>I met with the Welsh Minister for Health and Social Services, the Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport, and the Permanent Secretary of the Department of Health for Northern Ireland in March. ‘No deal’ contingency preparations were discussed, and the Department has continued to update all the devolved administrations as plans develop.</p><p>Recently, I wrote to Ministers in Wales and Scotland and senior officials in the civil service in Northern Ireland to update all the devolved administrations on ‘no-deal’ contingency planning assumptions for continuity of supply of medicines and medical products. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2019 answer text <p>As a responsible Government, we continue preparations to minimise any disruption in a ‘no deal’ scenario. We are putting in place a range of mitigations, these include:</p><p>- leading a procurement exercise to secure an ‘express freight service’, with the aim to secure transport of small medical supply consignment into the United Kingdom within the 24 hours if the UK leaves the European Union without a deal;</p><p>- changing or clarifying regulatory requirements so that companies can continue to sell their products in the UK if we have ‘no deal’;</p><p>- working with industry to improve trader readiness in preparation for the new customs procedures that will come into force on day one if we leave the EU without a deal; and</p><p>- advising travellers to ensure they have comprehensive travel insurance.</p><p>HM Treasury has allocated over £4.2 billion of additional funding to departments and devolved administrations for EU exit preparations so far. This breaks down as £412 million over the spending review period for the Department for Exiting the European Union, Department for International Trade and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Autumn Statement 2016); £286 million of additional funding for 2017/18 (a full breakdown of which can be found in Supplementary Estimates 2017/18); over £1.5 billion for 2018/19 (Supplementary Estimates 2018/19); and over £2 billion for 2019/20 (Main Estimates 2019/20).</p><p>This funding is to cover all exit scenarios and is in addition to departmental efforts to reprioritise from business as usual toward preparations for the UK’s departure from the EU. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>The Autumn Budget 2018 confirmed an additional £500 million of cross-Government funding for 2019/20, meaning the Government will have invested over £4 billion in preparing for European Union exit since 2016.
