	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/06/2019 answer text <p>Home Office records report that, between 1 January 2014 and 31 December 2018, a total of 28,953 people lodged Further Submissions after initially having their asylum claim refused.</p><p>A breakdown for each year is provided in the table below.</p><p>Since March 2015, the Home Office has required non-detained refused asylum seekers to lodge Further Submissions by appointment at the Further Submissions Unit based in Liverpool. In the action plan we have committed to ensuring all refugees are empowered to integrate and rebuild their lives in the UK, focusing on improving support for English language, employment, mental health, and orientation to life in the UK.</p><p><br>The Government recognises that learning English is essential to empowering refugees to rebuild their lives and move towards self-sufficiency and integration. We are working across government to develop a new strategy for English for speakers of other languages in 2019. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government is absolutely committed to transferring the specified number of 480 unaccompanied children under section 67 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Dubs Amendment) as soon as possible. Over 220 children were transferred to the UK under section 67 when the Calais camp was cleared in late 2016. Since then we have been making further progress with the three participating States – France, Greece, and Italy – to refer and transfer more eligible children to move closer to the commitment to transfer 480 children.</p><p>The UK is at the forefront in protecting children affected by the migration crisis. Section 67 is one of a number of schemes that offer a safe and legal route to the UK for the most vulnerable refugees.
