star this property answer text For 2023/24, it is estimated that there will be around 7,000 Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) claiming R&amp;D tax credits that will have an R&amp;D expenditure between 25 percent and 39 percent of their total expenditure. This is based on 2019-20 data projected forward in line with the Office for Budget Responsibilities economic forecasts, so is subject to the usual uncertainties surrounding forecast values.<p> </p><p> </p>To support those most impacted by the R&amp;D tax relief rate changes announced at Autumn Statement 2022, the additional tax relief for R&amp;D intensive SMEs announced at Spring Budget 2023 is targeted specifically at loss making R&amp;D intensive SMEs, who are most impacted by the changes. more like this

star this property answer text <p>Whilst the UK hopes negotiations on Horizon Europe will be successful, and that is our preference, the Government is prepared to support the UK’s R&amp;D sector by implementing Pioneer.</p><p>The first stage of Pioneer is designed to go live within weeks of a decision and consists of a suite of short-term measures. Longer term programmes would then follow.</p><p>All aspects of the programme, short and long-term, would be delivered by existing trusted and experienced UK delivery partners, such as UK Research &amp; Innovation and the National Academies who are used to delivering R&amp;D funding at scale.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Whilst Newcastle is not currently under consideration as a base for the Government Legal Department (GLD), the GLD's position might change in the future if demand for GLD services increases in the region.</p><p>GLD sites have been selected based on a model of developing a national organisation located in the proximity of its clients and using established legal markets which have strong pipelines for recruiting from diverse pools.</p><p>Decisions on sites are evidence-based, for example, on research and analysis of local academic and labour markets, whilst also reflecting various Government estate and property initiatives such as Places for Growth.</p><p>The Pilgrim Quarter Development will be the Government Hub for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in the North East, housing 9,000 HMRC employees when complete. As GLD does not currently offer legal services to HMRC, we would not automatically co-locate within their sites.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We work closely with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to ensure the right asylum decision data is being shared with local authorities to enable effective planning and to lessen the impact on existing homelessness and rough sleeping pressures. Our accommodation providers are directly working with local authorities to notify them when an individual is due to have their asylum support ended.</p><p>We are working with our partners, including local authorities, to provide timely notification of key events that impact them. We are working with our Strategic Migration Partnerships to facilitate regional sessions with councils and to share data.</p> more like this
