star this property answer text <p>001 Doctor is not listed as a provider of quarantine testing.</p><p>Those providers listed on the GOV.UK list have demonstrated compliance with the relevant minimum standards for their commercial provision of testing, this includes undergoing the three-staged United Kingdom Accreditation Service process if they are providing sample collection and/or test analysis services.</p><p>The Department is continuing to monitor each provider supplying testing for international arrivals, including assessment of their delivery, customer service and testing services.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>NHS England and NHS Improvement are collaborating with the Royal Colleges to create learning materials on domestic abuse, working with trusted peer advocacy services for culturally sensitive groups of victims and survivors, such as Karma Nirvana and Black Sisters. This is in addition to training for nurses and health visitors on domestic abuse and providing trauma care for patients, informed by representatives with lived experience. From March to June 2021, the Department sought views on women’s health issues and women’s experiences of the healthcare system in England through a call for evidence. The health impacts of violence against women and girls will be addressed within the forthcoming Women’s Health Strategy, which we aim to publish in summer 2022.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Health and Care Act 2022 will contribute to greater integration between health and social care and prevention and generate significant health benefits to the population. These include increased independence, improved quality of care, reduced preventable admissions and re-admissions into hospitals and higher patient satisfaction. The Act will remove barriers to data sharing, enabling joint decision-making and increase workforce integration. It will also embed more power and autonomy for local systems.</p><p> </p><p>The recently published Women’s Health Strategy and the forthcoming Sexual and Reproductive Health Action Plan set out plans to improve health outcomes for women and the general population. We continue to engage with stakeholders, including local authorities and commissioners, NHS England and integrated care systems in the development of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Action Plan.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>Through the call for evidence for the Women’s Health Strategy, we received responses which highlighted limited research into women’s health issues and a lack of diversity in clinical trials. We also received feedback on the need for improved education and training for healthcare professionals on women’s health issues and how health issues in the general population can affect women differently.</p><p>The recently published Women’s Health Strategy aims to work with the National Institute for Health and Care Research to encourage high quality research in women’s health, support women to lead research studies and participate in trials and maximise the impact of this research. We will work with the General Medical Council, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, Health Education England and others to ensure health and care professionals receive adequate training in women’s health, particularly for those women experiencing health disparities.</p><p>During the implementation of the Women’s Health Strategy, the recently appointed Women’s Health Ambassador for England will ensure that population groups experiencing disparities are represented.</p><p> </p>

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong></p><p>We have no specific plans to do so as there is an existing referral to treatment pathway for patients with severe aortic stenosis. The National Health Service is investing in cardiac networks to support improvements to the care pathway from prevention, diagnosis, treatment and end of life care.</p><p>We have committed £2.3 billion to launch at least 100 community diagnostic centres by 2024/25, to improve the early detection and diagnosis of heart valve disease in England.</p><p>Adults requiring an aortic valve replacement will be assessed to determine the appropriate procedure. Treatment usually involves surgical aortic valve replacement or transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Cardiac centres have increased the number of TAVI procedures, which have a lower requirement for intensive care beds and a shorter length of stay in hospital.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p><strong> </strong>Additional Roles Reimbursement Sum (ARRS) funding allocations are made available for Primary Care Networks (PCNs) to reimburse roles that are defined in the General Practice contract. If left un-used, funding can be re-distributed by the service commissioner to PCNs that can go further and reimburse more members of staff.</p><p>Underspends in the ARRS are reported in ‘Investment in General Practice’. This shows a £164 million underspend in the ARRS in 2020/2021. Information for subsequent years will be available in future publications of ‘Investment in General Practice’.</p><p>As a new programme, there was generous headroom in the ARRS funding that was available to draw down in earlier years, this allowed for recruitment of more expensive roles, or higher recruitment earlier in the year leading to higher overall costs.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>A full-time consultant is contracted to work 40 hours a week and any additional activity above this level is optional. A consultant’s objectives are mutually agreed between the job holder and the employer through the Job Plan process. Job Plans are annually reviewed and where a consultant’s workload or working hours exceeds agreed levels, it should be raised with the employer in the first instance.</p><p>We have regular discussions with trade unions on contractual working arrangements and to reach agreement on contract reform for consultants which reflects their role in the National Health Service and improves patient care.</p> more like this
