This data is drawn from the Electronic Staff Record (ESR), the human resources system for the National Health Service. From this data, the attached tables present the number of full-time equivalent staff who have a job role recorded as being either trainee or qualified psychological wellbeing practitioner. Data is presented for each quarter from March 2015 to September 2023 split by the body employing the staff.</p><p> </p><p>It is possible that some staff working as psychological wellbeing practitioners may be recorded against other job roles, therefore these figures possibly undercount the total number of staff involved. We are currently focused on the development and launch of a digital NHS Health Check, to be launched later this year, and rolled out nationally over the next four years. Following the launch of a digital check, the Department will consider the evidence for, and practicality of, expanding the scope of the NHS Health Check. This will include consideration of introducing a wider range of clinical checks, and considering a younger target age group.</p><p>Local authorities can design and deliver NHS Health Checks to suit the needs of their local population. This includes who provides the service, and in what settings it is delivered. In some areas, NHS Health Checks are already delivered in community and workplace settings. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/03/2024 answer text <p>The Government’s commitment to develop a national digital service to support the NHS Health Check was announced in the Health Reform speech on 8 March 2022, and forms a part of the Department’s plan for digital health and social care. The vision is to increase the flexibility and reach of the NHS Health Check through the creation of an innovative, accessible national digital service, delivered alongside local face-to-face offerings, that helps people understand and take action when engaging with their cardiovascular health. Whilst there isn't any specific policy development surrounding integrating digital technologies into care pathways, NHS England has developed an information guide that will help clarify the commissioning pathway. The Department works with the pharmaceutical industry, NHS, MHRA and others and uses a range of tools to help manage issues, such as securing supplies from alternative manufacturers, expediting deliveries and where necessary, enabling use of different products.</p><p>Supply disruption is unfortunately a common issue affecting countries around the world. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/02/2024 answer text <p>The Government works with international partners in various fora to tackle some of the biggest health challenges of our time, including cancer.</p><p>The care of and treatment for patients with cancers, including liver cancer, is a priority for the Government. National Health Service cancer standards have been reformed with the support of clinicians to speed up diagnosis for patients, which means people will receive a diagnosis or have cancer ruled out within 28 days of an urgent cancer referral from their general practice (GP). NHS England’s Early Diagnosis of Liver Cancer Programme is contributing to the NHS Long Term Plan’s commitment to diagnose 75% of all cancers at stage one or two, by 2028. Identifying those at risk and ensuring patients are tested and referred to a surveillance programme, where necessary, will lead to improved patient outcomes.</p><p>The Government is working jointly with NHS England on implementing the delivery plan for tackling the COVID-19 backlogs in elective care, and plans to spend more than £8 billion from 2022/23 to 2024/25 to help drive up and protect elective activity, including cancer diagnosis and treatment activity.</p><p>The Department has also committed support to the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce, which targets cancers with poor survival rates. This partnership focuses on liver, pancreas, lung, brain, oesophagus and stomach cancers, raising awareness of these less survivable cancers so more people understand their symptoms and go to see their GP if they have concerns.</p> answering member constituency Pendle answering member printed Andrew Stephenson question first answered 23/02/2024 15:30:53 answering member 4044 label Biography information for Andrew Stephenson

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/01/2024 answer text <p>We are aware of a shortage of triamcinolone hexacetonide 20 milligram/1 millilitre suspension for injection ampoules, which has been caused by the supplier experiencing manufacturing issues. We are liaising with the supplier of this product to ensure that action is taken to resolve this issue, as quickly as possible.</p><p>We have issued communications to healthcare professionals, providing guidance and advice on how to manage patients during the shortage. We have also been liaising with the British Society of Rheumatology, to keep them updated on the supply position. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/03/2024 answer text <p>On 25 May 2023, the Government announced that the New Hospital Programme (NHP) is expected to represent over £20 billion of capital investment for the financial year 2030/31, and that there would be a rolling programme of investment in health infrastructure in the longer term. Future spending beyond this current spending review period will be subject to the usual spending review processes.</p><p>The NHP has developed a third version of its Programme Business Case (PBC) which includes costs for the programme’s future spend. This was approved by the Department’s Joint Investment Committee on 19 February 2024.
