	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/05/2019 answer text <p>The department does not hold a record centrally of employees who have had bullying or harassment claims raised against them, and therefore we are unable to determine how many cases of bullying/harassment have been raised specifically against managers.</p><p> </p><p>The total number of formal bullying and harassment complaints made over the past 5 years is listed in the table below. Bullying or harassment is not tolerated at BEIS. BEIS is taking active steps where needed to address any issues, and is one of the best performing departments in government with regards to creating an inclusive culture, as highlighted by the cross-civil service people survey results.</p><p>Below are the figures for the number of bullying and/or harassment cases recorded against members of BEIS staff where advice and guidance was sought from our HR Casework Services team. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2019 answer text <p>We have checked the records that the department has kept since the introduction of the Cabinet Office guidance on settlement agreements on 1 February 2015 and confirm that we have one record, of using an NDA with a departmental staff member in July 2015.</p><p>The use of this NDA was unintentional i.e. the standard NDA paragraph was accidently left in the template by mistake. We are not aware of the Home Office using NDA for departmental staff other than this since the new guidance was introduced. However, the records examined were cross-matched from several different data sets, assembled for different purposes. MoJ has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of harassment and bullying. Our grievance policy and guidance is published on our intranet and accessible to all staff. We have a network of anti-bullying and harassment advisors that provide peer support to staff.
