star this property answer text <p>It is for each local authority to decide whether to charge for a Blue Badge. There are no plans to abolish the Blue Badge fee which allows local authorities to recover some of the costs involved with issuing the badge and administering the Scheme. In England the maximum fee that can be charged is £10.</p><p> </p><p>On 30 August the scheme in England was extended to include people with non-visible disabilities or conditions which affect an individual’s mobility.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Department for Transport only has information about the numbers of applications that are submitted online using the gov.uk service. Some local authorities have their own online applications, and most local authorities also offer either a paper-based or another form of assisted application for applicants.</p><p> </p><p>Prior to the launch of the new criteria, an average of around 2,000 applications for a badge were received online via gov.uk by local authorities each day. Monday’s are the busiest day, with around 2,200 submitted applications received prior to the launch of the new criteria on 30 August 2019.</p><p> </p><p>On the day the new criteria launched 9,134 applications were received online, with a further 4,503 applications received on the first Monday. This has since dropped back to a Monday peak of around 2,700 applications, with 2,691 applications received on Monday 14 October.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to monitor the impact of the new criteria, and will publish figures in due course.</p><p> </p>

People with Chron's Disease and other Inflammatory bowel disease conditions could receive a badge if they meet the eligibility criteria. The aim of the new expanded criteria is to ensure that those with non-visible conditions with the greatest needs have equal access to badges.</p><p> </p><p>It is for the relevant local authority to decide if an applicant meets the eligibility criteria.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Changes to bus services are notified to the Traffic Commissioners.</p><p>The Traffic Commissioners Annual Report for 2018-19 is due to be published in the Autumn. The latest published data from the Traffic Commissioners with regards the number of cancelled registrations can be found:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/traffic-commissioners-annual-report-2017-to-2018" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/traffic-commissioners-annual-report-2017-to-2018</a></p><p>The numbers of cancelled registrations will not be the same as the number of cessations of bus services: a registration that is cancelled may be complemented by a new service introduction that is an exact match or a slight variation to the one which has been cancelled.</p> more like this
