More than 10 million workers have now been automatically enrolled by over 1.5 million employers. Since the introduction of Automatic Enrolment, overall workplace pension participation has increased amongst eligible employees from 10.7 million in 2012 to 18.7 million in 2018.

In April 2017, approximately half of eligible private sector employees making a contribution were contributing at levels of 2% and over (above the minimum requirements at the time). Total minimum contribution rates have since increased in April 2018 and April 2019 to 8%. We are continuing to monitor the impact of those increases closely, including how this impacts on overall contribution rates and the savings behaviour of employees. Government officials have participated in expert group discussions on the so called delegated acts which will lay down the detailed rules. The UK devolved administrations have been fully involved in briefing for those meetings, including on the provisions for movement testing. Written representations have also been submitted to the European Commission. Ultimately, since these texts are delegated acts, final decisions on the detailed rules will be a matter for the European Commission, which has also conducted public consultation via its Have Your Say web service.
more like this

On average, 10 allegations of bullying and harassment have been made within each of the three previous financial years by members of the Army Cadet Force units in Northern Ireland, although this should not be taken to assume there were 10 in each year; the numbers vary. This will include cadets and all Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (officers, adult instructors and non-uniformed volunteers). To provide the number of allegations made by those holding the rank of Lieutenant and above would be disclosive given the very small number involved.
more like this

star this property answer text
An increase in mumps activity was observed in England in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019 with 795 laboratory confirmed mumps infections. Cases were reported in all regions of England, predominantly in young adults aged 15 to 34 years (703/795, 88%). Almost half (352/795, 44%) of the cases in Q1 were in unvaccinated individuals. Whilst this is triple the total number of infections (247 cases) confirmed in England in Q1 of 2018, increases in mumps cases have been observed in previous years. In Q1 of 2013, a total of 980 cases were confirmed.

Further information is available to view at the following link:

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/804024/hpr1819_mmr2.pdf

Although mumps can occur in fully vaccinated individuals, due to secondary vaccine failure, it is less likely to lead to complications requiring hospitalisation. While the mumps component of the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine is highly effective at protecting young children, immunity can wane over time. Therefore, older teenagers and adults who received two doses of MMR in childhood can still get mumps although this is generally mild compared to those who are unvaccinated.
