	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2019 answer text <p>As a responsible Government, we continue preparations to minimise any disruption in a ‘no deal’ scenario. We are putting in place a range of mitigations, these include:</p><p>- leading a procurement exercise to secure an ‘express freight service’, with the aim to secure transport of small medical supply consignment into the United Kingdom within the 24 hours if the UK leaves the European Union without a deal;</p><p>- changing or clarifying regulatory requirements so that companies can continue to sell their products in the UK if we have ‘no deal’;</p><p>- working with industry to improve trader readiness in preparation for the new customs procedures that will come into force on day one if we leave the EU without a deal; and</p><p>- advising travellers to ensure they have comprehensive travel insurance.</p><p>HM Treasury has allocated over £4.2 billion of additional funding to departments and devolved administrations for EU exit preparations so far. This breaks down as £412 million over the spending review period for the Department for Exiting the European Union, Department for International Trade and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Autumn Statement 2016); £286 million of additional funding for 2017/18 (a full breakdown of which can be found in Supplementary Estimates 2017/18); over £1.5 billion for 2018/19 (Supplementary Estimates 2018/19); and over £2 billion for 2019/20 (Main Estimates 2019/20).</p><p>This funding is to cover all exit scenarios and is in addition to departmental efforts to reprioritise from business as usual toward preparations for the UK’s departure from the EU. The majority of these are filled by bank and agency staff.</p><p>NHS Improvement and NHS Employers have been working in partnership to deliver a national programme of action to support National Health Service trusts to improve retention of the nursing and clinical workforce. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2019 answer text <p>Capital Nurse is a National Health Service programme with over 90 projects working to support recruitment and retention of nurses in London<em>. </em>The Capital Nurse vision and objective is to ‘get nursing right for London’, so that London has the right number of nurses, with the right skills in the right place, working to deliver excellent nursing wherever it is needed. The programme is jointly sponsored by Health Education England, NHS England and NHS Improvement.</p><p>NHS Improvement and NHS Employers have been working in partnership to deliver a national programme of action to support NHS trusts to improve retention of the nursing and clinical workforce. This provides targeted support to trusts on key issues affecting retention, such as flexible working, supporting new starters and older workers, and development and career planning. Trusts’ commitment has enabled a national improvement in nursing turnover rates from 12.5% to 11.9% since the beginning of the programme (June 2017).</p><p>Around 1 million NHS workers are already benefiting from the Agenda for Change (3 year) pay and contract reform deal agreed last year. The Department also does not hold information on the number of incidents relating to failure to follow guidance on disclosing interests.</p><p>The General Medical Council (GMC) is the independent regulator of doctors in the United Kingdom. All UK registered doctors are expected to meet the professional standards set out in the GMC's guidance ‘Good Medical Practice’. The Immigration White Paper, ‘The UK’s future skills-based immigration system’, published in December 2018, sets out the foundation for a single immigration system, where it is workers’ skills that matter, not where they come from.
