Support for women to help them address the often complex needs that underlie their offending is essential to delivering the vision of the female offender strategy. This is why, across government, we are investing £5 million of funding over two years in community provision for women. This funding will help to sustain and enhance existing services, and will create new services where there is currently a gap.</p><p> </p><p>Services such as women’s centres receive funding from a range of sources. Many levy-paying employers operate in more than one location, and they are free to spend the funds in their accounts on apprenticeship training across England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/04/2019 answer text <p>The apprenticeship levy is collected by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) from all UK employers with a pay bill above £3 million. Monthly receipts data for the apprenticeship levy is published by HMRC in its tax and National Insurance contributions receipts publication which can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/hmrc-tax-and-nics-receipts-for-the-uk" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/hmrc-tax-and-nics-receipts-for-the-uk</a>.</p><p>Between April 2018 and February 2019, £2.5 billion was raised from the levy.</p><p>Employers’ levy funds are distinct from the Department for Education’s ring-fenced apprenticeship budget, which is set to fund apprenticeships in England only. The budget has been set in advance by Her Majesty’s Treasury for the current spending review period (to 2019-20). The budget was £2.2 billion for the 2018-19 financial year and it will rise to over £2.5 billion in 2019-20 – double what was spent in 2010. It is used to fund new apprenticeship starts in levy and non-levy paying employers and to cover the ongoing costs of apprentices that are already in training. A detailed breakdown of spending for 2018-19 will be published in the Education and Skills Funding Agency Annual Report and Accounts.</p><p>In the 12 months from February 2018 to January 2019, the most recent month for which data are available, £2.36 billion in levy funds were received into employers’ apprenticeship service accounts. These funds are available for employers to use for 24 months before they begin to expire on a rolling, month-by-month basis. In the same time period, a total of £523 million of payments were made from apprenticeship service accounts to cover training costs for learning. This figure does not include other costs, such as incentives and additional payments for disadvantaged apprentices.</p><p>We don’t anticipate that all levy-payers will use all the funds in their accounts. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2019 answer text <p>There are no plans to review regulations governing the netting of bird nesting places.</p><p> </p><p>The use of netting to exclude birds from potential nesting sites is justified in certain circumstances, for example when protecting crops or restricting pest species’ access to buildings. This can include subsiding a service so that its hours of operation are extended. The majority of public funding for local bus services is provided via block grant to local authorities in England from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/04/2019 answer text <p>When the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) makes a calculation it is based initially on income information received directly from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Having access to HMRC income information allows the Child Maintenance Service to capture a much wider range of income types received by paying parents. In addition to a parent’s gross annual income, we can capture income derived from property, savings and investments (including dividends) and other miscellaneous income. This is unearned income can be included in the calculation if a request is made to vary the calculation. In December 2018 we introduced new powers which also enable us to target complex earners via a calculation of notional income based on their assets.</p><p> </p><p>Cases involving complex income or suspected fraudulent behaviour can be looked into by the Financial Investigation Unit (FIU). This specialist team can request information from a range of financial institutions to check the accuracy of information the Child Maintenance Service is given. The financial institutions are legally bound to supply the information.
