star this property answer text <p>The Secretary of State continues to have regular conversations with ministerial colleagues across Government on all aspects of exiting the EU.</p><p>To provide certainty to farmers and landowners, the Government has pledged to commit the same cash total in funds for farm support until the end of this Parliament. This commitment applies to the whole UK.</p><p>The Agriculture Bill will allow us to break from the Common Agricultural Policy and help our farming sector become more profitable whilst sustaining our precious natural environment.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We have pledged to continue to commit the same cash total in funds for farm support until the end of this Parliament, expected in 2022. This includes all funding provided for farm support under both Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 of the current Common Agricultural Policy. This commitment applies to the whole of the UK, in both a negotiated and a no-deal scenario.</p><p>Our Agriculture Bill includes a seven year transition period from 2021 to 2027, during which Direct Payments will be phased out gradually. This will give time for farmers to adapt and prepare for the new environmental land management system, which will allow farmers to decide how best they can deliver environmental benefits from their business and their land.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>This year’s Basic Payment Scheme (BPS 2019) payments for England will continue to be calculated in euros and then converted into sterling unless a farmer has opted to receive a euro payment.</p><p> </p><p>The euro exchange rate used to make payments in sterling will be the average of the European Central Bank rates set over the month of September 2019. This exchange rate will be published on GOV.UK when it is announced.</p> more like this
