unstar this property answer text <p>​Officials from the Department for International Development (DFID) hold regular discussions with EU and US aid administrations regarding assisting Yezidi communities. DFID and Foreign and Commonwealth Office representatives regularly highlight the needs of minorities at senior levels within the Government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government. We recently discussed the issue with the Iraqi General Secretary of the Council of Ministers, who has created a team that is working with UN Development Programme on this issue. On 2 August the UK's Ambassador to Iraq attended a commemoration of the fourth anniversary of Daesh atrocities against Yezidis in Sinjar, where he reiterated the importance of justice, respect and human rights.</p> more like this

We continue to raise their cases with the Iranian Government at every opportunity, as the Minister for the Middle East did with the Deputy Foreign Minister in Tehran recently. unstar this property answer text <p>The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) notified Syria on 10 April of its intention to deploy its Fact-Finding Mission to Douma. The team arrived in Damascus on 14 April, following an invitation from Syria which was supported by Russia, but their deployment to Douma was delayed for a week until 21 April. The Director General of the OPCW reported that they had been prevented from deploying to Douma by Russia and Syria, who cited security concerns. Russia instead offered to bring witnesses to Damascus, but the OPCW rightly insisted on access to Douma itself, which was later granted.</p> more like this
