star this property answer text <p>As of 2020/21 Integrated Care Systems have been empowered to prioritise their funding as they see fit to best improve care in local areas.</p><p>£20 billion capital will be provided at a national level for the period 2022/23 to 2024/25, of which £218 million has already been allocated for 2022/23 to Cheshire and Merseyside (Integrated Care Board).</p><p>Local health system planners acknowledge the need for a primary care estate in Maghull, and are working together to develop an estates strategy, which is currently in early development.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>There are 399 operational Mental Health Support Teams now in place, supporting over 3 million children and young people. That means we have already achieved our 35% coverage target, 8 months ahead of schedule.</p><p> </p><p>I am planning to deliver an additional 101 teams by spring 2024 taking us to 500. The NIHR – who undertook a review of the programme – found that 77% of children and young people surveyed saw positive improvements in their mental health and wellbeing. We have also set an ambition for all state schools and colleges to train a senior mental health lead by 2025-26 in 10 state-funded secondary schools in England now have a dedicated mental health lead.</p><p> </p><p>I am thankful to the support of the Department for Education in supporting this rollout.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>In the Autumn Statement we committed an additional £3.3 billion per year until 2024-25 to respond to significant pressures facing the NHS. This is on top of the £8 billion already committed until 2025 to reduce waiting times. This funding will increase capacity to get patients diagnosed and treated quickly, by creating new Community Diagnostic Centres and Surgical Hubs and prioritising the patients waiting longest.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <ul><li>The NHS is working incredibly hard to ensure those who have been waiting the longest receive treatment as soon as possible.</li><li>We met our target to virtually eliminate waits of two years or more for elective procedures in July 2022. Waits of over 78 weeks were also virtually eliminated by the end of June 2023, in line with the conditions set out in the elective recovery plan. We have now moved our focus to cutting waits of 65 weeks or more to as near zero as possible, by March 2024.</li><li>The government has allocated an additional £8 billion revenue funding and £5.9bn investment in NHS capital from 2022-25 to tackle the elective backlog and provide new beds, equipment, and technology.</li></ul><p> </p> more like this

We are increasing hospital capacity by 7,000 beds and providing £500 million to increase patient discharges. star this property answer text <p>I congratulate my Honourable Friend for his efforts and ongoing campaign and petition to secure a direct bus route between Woking and Ashford Hospital in Surrey.</p><p>He has made me aware that increasing numbers of appointments for Woking residents have been scheduled at Ashford Hospital over recent times and that current public transport links between Woking and the hospital are far from ideal.</p><p>To help expand wider access Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has received £15 million in the 2020/21 to 2021/22 period for the expansion of the emergency department and urgent treatment centre that serves, amongst others, the Woking area. This scheme is completed, and the site is operational.</p><p>In addition to this, the trust was also allocated £10 million in the 2022/23 to 2023/24 period from our Elective Recovery Targeted Investment Fund for theatres and procedure rooms.</p><p>I wish my Honourable Friend a successful outcome to his important campaign on this matter.</p>

star this property answer text <p>We have invested record amounts into NHS mental health services committing £2.3 billion a year compared to four years ago for the expansion and transformation of mental health services in England by 2024.</p><p>This has enabled 2 million more people to access NHS mental health support.</p><p>Specifically, we invested £15.5 billion in mental health across 2022/23, representing 24% more than in 2018/19 and helping to:</p><ul><li>Grow the mental health workforce by an additional 27,000 staff</li><li>Invest in up to 100 new mental health ambulances over 2 years with £7 million funding</li><li>Ensure emergency mental health support through NHS111 available everywhere in England by April 2024</li></ul> more like this
