star this property answer text <p>From 1 November, certain cannabis-based products for medicinal use, that meet conditions related to the quality of their manufacture and supply routes, can be prescribed by doctors on the specialist register of the General Medical Council (GMC). GPs will not be able to prescribe cannabis-based medicinal products for their patients.</p><p>There is no requirement for specialist doctors to notify the police or the Home Office when issuing prescription for these products. Controlled Drug Accountable Officers have a statutory responsibility to secure the safe management and use of controlled drugs. This includes a duty to monitor the prescribing, supply and administration (if applicable) of all controlled drugs and liaise with the police to investigate suspected diversion.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The National County Lines Co-ordination Centre is a joint initiative between the National Crime Agency and the National Police Chiefs’ Council, supported by £3.6m of Home Office funding. It is one of our key commitments set out in the Serious Violence Strategy.</p><p>The Centre is fully operational and has around 40 staff in post. The Home Office is not involved in the set up and running of the Centre as it is an operational matter for the NCA and police.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Ministers and officials have been engaging with people, communities and businesses across the whole of the UK since the Referendum. This is an absolutely essential part of the Government’s exit approach and is in addition to the four stakeholder groups on the EU Settlement Scheme which meet monthly.</p><p>Engagement on the EU Settlement Scheme in the South West, to date, has taken place in Plymouth, Exeter, Bristol and Yeovil. The Government is committed to visiting all nations and regions of the UK, including Cornwall, as part of its engagement programme. This programme is ongoing and will continue beyond the UK leaving the European Union, on 29th March 2019. As part of the draft Withdrawal Agreement with the EU, EU citizens resident in the UK have until 30 June 2021 to apply for their status.</p> more like this
