star this property answer text <p>‘A five-year framework for GP contract reform to implement The NHS Long Term Plan’, published in 2019, is supported by an additional investment of £4.5 billion in primary medical and community care by 2023/24. In 2020, we announced at least an additional £1.5 billion until 2023/24 to expand the general practice workforce and improve access for patients.</p><p>Funding is allocated to general practitioner practices based on the size of the registered patient list and factors such as geographical location. The amount of funding for general practice is adjusted each year and individual practice funding is calculated on a quarterly basis taking into account relevant factors such as patient list size changes.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>​​The department is committed to ensuring that all children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to realise their potential.</p><p>High needs funding to support children and young people with complex SEND is rising to £10.1 billion in the 2023/24 financial year, which is an increase of over 50% compared to 2019/20. Of this, Enfield Council’s high needs funding allocation for 2023/24 will be £76 million, an 11.5% per head increase compared to the amount of high needs funding allocated in the 2022/23 financial year.</p><p>The department is also currently working with Enfield Council as part of the Delivering Better Value in SEND programme, which aims to support up to 55 local authorities, and their partners, to improve the delivery of SEND services for children and young people, while functioning sustainably.</p><p>Enfield Council is currently engaged in Phase One of the programme, which focuses root cause diagnostics to identify the highest impact changes that can be made to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and improve financial sustainability for local authorities.</p><p>Following the Phase One diagnostics, the local authority will create a plan to deliver improvements across their local systems and following a successful grant application, will receive funding from the department. This funding will assist with implementation and ongoing support as they move into Phase Two of the programme.</p>

An estimated 80% of the population lives within 20 minutes’ walk of a community pharmacy and there are double the number of pharmacies in more deprived areas. There are over 11,000 community pharmacies in England and the Pharmacy Access Scheme provides additional funding for areas where there are fewer pharmacies.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>While there is currently limited data on the use of mirtazapine in pregnant women, the data available do not indicate an increased risk of congenital malformations. Caution is advised when used during pregnancy, particularly as until or shortly before the birth, the baby should be monitored for any possible side effects relating to withdrawal or toxicity.</p><p>The product information also includes information about the potential risk of persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, which is known to be associated with the use of some antidepressants with a similar mechanism of action as mirtazapine.</p><p>The safety of mirtazapine use in pregnancy is continually monitored and assessed through the periodic review of the latest available data from scientific studies and side effects reported through the Yellow Card Scheme. The product information is updated in response to these ongoing data assessments to reflect the most up to date advice for patients and prescribers.</p><p><strong> </strong></p>
