star this property answer text There are two forms of formal challenge (appeal) for Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rating disputes. A formal challenge submitted to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) and appeals to the independent Valuation Tribunal (VT). Legislation permits a taxpayer to appeal to VT when they disagree with the VOA’s decision on the Council Tax band of their domestic property, or Rateable Value of their non-domestic (business) property.<p> </p><p>The VOA publish annual statistics on the number of challenges received, for both domestic and non-domestic properties, including the outcomes, broken down by region. star this property answer text Since her appointment on 15 September, the Foreign Secretary has engaged closely with European counterparts on defence and security matters, through bilateral and multilateral channels. Of particular note is the roundtable that she hosted with her counterparts from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, at which the attendees discussed the bilateral and multilateral partnerships between our countries, as well as Russia, China and the global security climate. Additionally, she recently met with her Greek counterpart to sign the UK-Greece Strategic Bilateral Framework, which builds on strong existing security and defence cooperation. The Foreign Secretary is preparing for her first NATO Ministerial meeting on 30 November, where she will meet with Allied counterparts from Europe. more like this

star this property answer text <p>‘A five-year framework for GP contract reform to implement The NHS Long Term Plan’, published in 2019, is supported by an additional investment of £4.5 billion in primary medical and community care by 2023/24. In 2020, we announced at least an additional £1.5 billion until 2023/24 to expand the general practice workforce and improve access for patients.</p><p>Funding is allocated to general practitioner practices based on the size of the registered patient list and factors such as geographical location. The amount of funding for general practice is adjusted each year and individual practice funding is calculated on a quarterly basis taking into account relevant factors such as patient list size changes.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>​​The department is committed to ensuring that all children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need to realise their potential.</p><p>High needs funding to support children and young people with complex SEND is rising to £10.1 billion in the 2023/24 financial year, which is an increase of over 50% compared to 2019/20. Of this, Enfield Council’s high needs funding allocation for 2023/24 will be £76 million, an 11.5% per head increase compared to the amount of high needs funding allocated in the 2022/23 financial year.</p><p>The department is also currently working with Enfield Council as part of the Delivering Better Value in SEND programme, which aims to support up to 55 local authorities, and their partners, to improve the delivery of SEND services for children and young people, while functioning sustainably.</p><p>Enfield Council is currently engaged in Phase One of the programme, which focuses root cause diagnostics to identify the highest impact changes that can be made to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND, and improve financial sustainability for local authorities.</p><p>Following the Phase One diagnostics, the local authority will create a plan to deliver improvements across their local systems and following a successful grant application, will receive funding from the department. This funding will assist with implementation and ongoing support as they move into Phase Two of the programme.</p>
