star this property answer text <p>Through our advocacy and project work we support efforts by the Government of Colombia to strengthen the protection of vulnerable groups and individuals, including witnesses in judicial cases. On 25 April, Foreign and Commonwealth Office officials in London were briefed by a non-governmental organisation's supporting of witnesses in this case, about the threats against them and protection measures provided by the Colombian Government National Protection Unit. We currently have no plans to send observers to follow this specific case.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The new e-petitions system has been running for over two years now and the Government is pleased with the level of engagement that it has prompted among the public.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Parliamentary e-petitions site is jointly owned by the Government and the House of Commons, therefore any assessment of potential changes to the system would have to be agreed between the Government and the House. Individual Departments are responsible for the content and timeliness of responses to e-petitions and the Leader's office has general Government oversight of e-petitions.</p><p> </p> more like this

Conflict, including that in Yemen, allows terrorist organisations to establish themselves and spread their message of violence and extremism. We continue to work with our partners, including those in the Gulf, to deny terrorist organisations the space in which to operate. star this property answer text <p>Under zoo licensing legislation zoos are subject to an annual inspection and must comply with the Secretary of State's Standards of Modern Zoo Practice. These are detailed standards for zoo management, including animal health, welfare and husbandry. The standards are kept under review by Defra’s Zoos Expert Committee (ZEC) which includes leading animal welfare experts.</p><p> </p><p>Ministers have tasked the ZEC with considering whether any changes need to be made to the zoo licensing system. star this property answer text <p>Decisions on the routine availability of medicines, such as Zoledronic acid, are made locally by clinical commissioning groups (CCGs). CCGs make funding decisions based on the needs of their population. Commissioning is about getting the best possible health outcomes for the local population and this involves assessing local needs to inform priorities and strategies.</p><p> </p><p>Under their terms of service, clinicians are allowed to prescribe any product which they consider to be a medicine necessary for the treatment of their patients under the National Health Service, subject to two provisos: firstly, that the product is not included in Schedules 1 or 2 to the NHS (General Medical Services Contracts)(Prescription of Drugs etc.) Regulations 2004 and secondly, that the clinician is prepared to justify any challenges to their prescribing by their local CCG.</p><p> </p><p>Decisions on whether to routinely fund medicines should be taken in the context of the CCGs available resources to ensure that care is fairly allocated to all patients and, where appropriate, measured against the CCGs other service development priorities.</p>

star this property answer text <p>The Minister for Africa visited Zimbabwe on 23 and 24 November. He met with actors from across the political spectrum, including President Emmerson Mnangagwa and opposition leaders Morgan Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru. The UK is clear that the only way for Zimbabwe to achieve a legitimate government is through free and fair elections. We welcome President Mnangagwa's commitment to hold free and fair elections next year and we will do all we can to support a legitimate government rebuild the country, working with international and regional partners. The visit was an early opportunity to deliver these messages. Both the Foreign Secretary and the Minister for Africa are engaging with the region and other international partners on this matter.</p> more like this
