Where national policies on abortion contribute to high levels of maternal death, our programme implementing partners may seek to raise awareness of these issues and support local efforts to achieve reform aimed at saving maternal lives. DFID’s contribution on the promotion of FoRB is part of the work of many DFID staff around the world and would not be possible to quantify.
