That is why we asked the Solicitors Regulation Authority to investigate solicitor Phil Shiner, who was struck off earlier this year for dishonesty. We are both important members of NATO. The UK/Poland bilateral Defence Cooperation Treaty will provide a framework for collaboration that is complementary to our work in NATO but in no way supersedes it. A priority for the MOD is to support the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in fulfilling our commitments as a proactive State Party to the CCW. MOD participation will allow us to share our thinking on autonomy, notably as set out in the recently published Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) doctrine note. Currently, one Type 45 destroyer and an offshore hydrographic survey vessel are performing the role of flagship for two Standing NATO Maritime Groups, with a mine counter measures vessel also contributing.
