star this property answer text <p>Broadband Delivery UK are working closely with BT and other suppliers to deliver our Manifesto commitment to provide 95% of the UK with access to superfast broadband by the end of 2017. Almost 4 million homes and business now have access to superfast broadband for the first time thanks to the Superfast Broadband Programme. In addition, BT has recently announced an additional £179m of supplier funding for the programme under the contractual profit sharing arrangements. BDUK also has rigorous controls in place to ensure that all investment is in areas that will not be reached commercially for at least three years, and represents value for money.</p><p><strong> </strong></p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Internet Service Providers are accountable to Ofcom - and in turn to their customers - through Ofcom's 'General Conditions (14)'. These conditions include ensuring that an effective complaint handling procedure is in place, and Ofcom can impose a penalty of up to 10% of turnover for failure to comply.</p><p>Ofcom, as the UK’s independent communications regulator, has a duty to secure alternative dispute resolution (ADR) schemes for domestic and small business customers to make sure their rights are upheld. Ofcom periodically reviews the two approved ADR schemes (Ombudsman Services: Communications and the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme) and monitors their ability to deal with complaints independently, transparently and effectively.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Government believes that a thriving arts sector is vital for the cultural landscape of this country. We highlighted in the recent Culture White Paper that we would like to see a rejuvenated approach to corporate sponsorship of the arts. We are working with Arts Council England and other partners on this agenda, including looking at local level partnerships.</p><p> </p><p>Arts Council have already commissioned a new Private Investment Survey and is currently inviting all arts and cultural organisations in England to take part by April 29<sup>th</sup>. The new survey will be published in the autumn and will provide an updated overview of private investment in England’s cultural sectors, including at the local level. It will also bridge the gap in terms of data on how the sector has developed since the last survey was published covering data for 2011/12, which recorded business investment in the arts as £113 million.</p> more like this
