<p>The Maritime Support Delivery Framework (MSDF) contracts replace the three Warship
Support Maintenance Initiative (WSMI) contracts with Babcock Marine and BAE Systems
covering HM Naval Bases (HMNBs) Clyde, Devonport and Portsmouth. Under WSMI, industry
was contracted to provide engineering support to Royal Navy ships and submarines,
waterfront support services, logistics management, along with estates and facilities
management and maintenance.</p><p> </p><p>The MSDF contracts also replace ship services
contracts with Babcock Marine and BAE Systems and contracts for a range of other support
activities.</p><p> </p><p>The expenditure incurred by the Ministry of Defence in each
of the last five years (in £ million) is shown in the tables. The tables include only
those contracts that are within the current scope of the MSDF contract.</p><p> </p><p>
