	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/03/2018 answer text <p>Funding for legal representation for those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire is a matter for the independent Grenfell Tower Inquiry, to be decided in line with the Inquiries Act 2005, the Inquiry Rules 2006, the Inquiry’s costs protocol (‘Protocol Relating to Legal Representation at Public Expense’) and the Prime Minister’s determination on funding.</p><p>Paragraph 6 of the Inquiry’s costs protocol confirms that the Prime Minister has determined that the survivors and their families, the bereaved families and local residents affected by the tragic events at Grenfell Tower will automatically meet the requirements of the Inquiry Rules in respect of financial resources. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/03/2018 answer text <p>Where civil servants are working for a non civil service organisation, this is done under a secondment agreement and not as contracting out.</p><p> </p><p>In such situations, a secondment agreement is normally put in place between the two organisations setting out the responsibilities of both towards the secondee during the period of the secondment. Through this, the employing department is able to satisfy itself that the host organisation is aware of and able to discharge the relevant employment responsibilities.</p><p> </p><p>As set out in section 10.3 of the Civil Service Management Code, civil servants who are on secondment remain subject to their normal terms and conditions, including in relation to conduct, discipline and disclosure of information. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/01/2018 answer text <p>The Civil Service recognises that good workforce health and wellbeing is fundamental to delivering brilliant public services. We support people so that they can remain at work where possible and to return as soon as they are ready following sickness absence.</p><p> </p><p>Cabinet Office statistics show that Civil Service annual Average Working Days Lost (AWDL) per staff year has reduced from 9.8 days in 2007 to 7.0 days for year ending 31 March 2017, its lowest recorded level. This demonstrates the significant progress made in reducing sickness absence across the Civil Service.</p><p> </p><p>Departments continue to monitor their sickness absence data, in order to take continuing action to improve management of absences and prevention of absence, including through supporting workforce health and wellbeing. While no formal Civil Service wide assessment has been made of the reasons behind the reductions, this continuing attention and action is a key contributor.</p><p> </p><p>As for all employers, presenteeism is potentially an issue in the Civil Service. We have made no assessment of the effect of a potential culture of presenteeism on the long term trend in sickness absence.
