The figures fluctuate from year to year, but the long-term trends are a decline in self-reported prejudice. Causal factors are likely to include the aftermath of the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks, different attitudes to changing immigration and (in a positive way) the 2012 Olympics. The statistics are experimental at this stage and as such we should not expect to have examples of major policies that have been heavily influenced by the wellbeing data at this stage. The Department of Communities and Local Government aims to create great places to live and work, and give more power to local people to shape what happens in their area. As such, many of the Department's policies are aligned with the wellbeing agenda. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/06/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>As at 2 June 2014, 979 businesses were in receipt of a business rates relief from their local authority as a result of the impact of flooding. There are no set or advance allocations to councils. The fund works by councils retrospectively claiming back the cost of the business rate relief (in the same way, for example, as the Bellwin Scheme has always worked). 66 local authorities recently submitted claims for reimbursement; the deadline for applications was 26 May. Last December we published statutory guidance for local authorities to ensure that – with the exception of Service personnel – only those with a well-established local residency and local association qualify for social housing. The guidance also encourages local authorities to consider how accurate and anonymised information on waiting list applicants and lettings outcomes could be routinely published, to strengthen public confidence in the fairness of their allocation scheme.</p><p>Information on social housing lettings is collected by the Department through the Continuous Recording of Lettings (CORE). In 2012/13, 92% of all new social housing (general and supported, social and affordable rents) lettings were to households where the lead tenant was a UK national. In Liverpool this was 91%.
