star this property answer text <p>The Church Commissioners currently directly employ one member of staff on an apprenticeship scheme; this role is designed to give experience of supporting the administrative work of the national institutional structures of the Church of England. There is an intention to roll out apprenticeships more widely should this trial proves successful.</p><p>Within the Church of England there are jobs and opportunities for skilled professionals and their students to undertake apprenticeships, training, or conservation work on and within its buildings, stone/carpentry yards and stained glass workshops choir and organ schools.</p><p>There are also some more informal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities within the local and national structures that are organised locally by those concerned.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p> </p><p>My Department currently has six apprentices. Two are aged 16 to 18, and four are aged 19 to 24. We are due to get a further 4 apprentices in September 2014.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Of our Arms Length Bodies, the Planning Inspectorate currently has seven apprentices. Six are aged 19 to 24, and one is aged 25 or over. Homes and Communities Agency currently has three apprentices, all of whom are aged 19 to 24.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>6 apprentices were appointed to permanent roles in the Department of the 10 employed last year. The Department is committed to bringing in apprentices and promoting fresh perspectives and ideas. They are enthusiastic in their approach to work and committed to learning and developing the skills needed to make a positive contribution, both within and outside the Department.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We are on track to deliver 2 million apprenticeships over this Parliament.</p><p>We continue to focus on quality, insisting that all apprenticeships are jobs, have a minimum duration of a year, include on the job training and meet the needs of employers. As a result the number of 'full' 16-18 apprenticeship starts – those with a planned duration of a year – have doubled.</p><p>Apprenticeship reforms will further increase quality and simplify the system, making it easier and more desirable for employers to offer more apprenticeships in the future.</p><p> </p> more like this

We have however taken part in the Summer Diversity Internship Programme and offer placements to individuals on the various Fast Stream schemes.
