	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/11/2014 answer text <p>It is the responsibility of enforcing authorities to satisfy themselves that the responsible person has complied with their duties under the Fire Safety Order 2005.</p><p> </p><p>Under the Fire Safety Order, building owners are required to carry out a fire risk assessment of their premises and put in place and maintain adequate and appropriate fire safety measures to ensure that the risk to life in the event of fire is reduced to as low as reasonably practicable. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/11/2014 answer text <p>Exercise Senator 2011 tested the multi-agency response to an incident involving a UK nuclear weapon convoy travelling in Scotland and the simulated release of radioactive material. The Ministry of Defence is the lead Government Department responsible for emergencies involving defence nuclear assets (other than an emergency arising as a result of a terrorist event where the Home Office is appointed as lead).</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Defence works closely with devolved administrations (Scotland in this exercise) and local responders to ensure an effective coordinated response. The central government’s concept of operations sets out UK arrangements for responding to and recovering from emergencies.</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/192425/CONOPs_incl_revised_chapter_24_Apr-13.pdf" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/192425/CONOPs_incl_revised_chapter_24_Apr-13.pdf</a></p><p>My Department is responsible for providing the Government liaison function below the national level in England only. In the future, the UK is open to contributing to the EU’s development programmes where it is in the UK and EU’s mutual interest and meets joint objectives. The Department has a zero-tolerance approach to UK aid diversion to fund terrorist activities. DFID’s funding agreements commit our partners to understand and comply with UK and international counter terrorism legislation. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/12/2018 answer text <p>The Department for International Development has a robust set of measures in place to protect, prevent and detect the diversion of development assistance to terrorist and extremist groups, and to ensure that UK aid reaches those for whom it is intended. These measures include rigorous controls throughout the funding cycle, from comprehensive risk assessments and monitoring requirements for all programmes, to due diligence checks on partners, and regular internal and external audits. The risk that UK aid funds could be diverted to benefit proscribed extremist groups, or terrorist groups or activities, is fully assessed as part of DFID’s risk assessment process before any funding is approved.</p><p> </p><p>The Department has a zero-tolerance approach to the diversion of aid to extremist and terrorist groups. As developing countries generate better quality jobs, opportunities for UK trade and investment increase.</p><p> </p><p>DFID’s Economic Development Strategy commits the UK to supporting more and better jobs as a means of delivering the Sustainable Development Goals. As published in DFID’s annual report, DFID is developing its monitoring of numbers of people supported to have raised incomes or obtain or maintain better jobs or livelihoods.</p><p> </p><p>DFID encourages suppliers and their supply chains to comply with ILO standards on Decent Work and it supports a number of initiatives that raise job quality and standards by firms that invest in low income countries. The UK has made expertise from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) available to partner Governments to support better quality labour market monitoring.</p><p> </p><p>DFID is continually looking at how best to measure and monitor both the number and quality of jobs that our initiatives support.
