	answer	answer answer text <p>I have been asked to reply on behalf of the Home Office. Integrated Offender Management is an important approach to cutting crime and reoffending in local areas. One of the key strengths of the approach is that the local model should be responsive to local needs and priorities as identified by the agencies and the partners in the area. 	answer	answer answer text <p>The Government takes the issue of domestic violence very seriously and is committed to ensuring greater protection for victims of all forms of violence.</p><p> </p><p>The issue raised by the Eve's Law campaign is complex and cuts across a number of justice jurisdictions, and into many areas of a victim's interaction with the state and other agencies.</p><p> </p><p>Having considered the issues raised by the campaign this Department is not persuaded that primary legislation is the necessary and appropriate way forward. 	answer	answer answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p>I understand that, as of 13 May 2014, 36 of the 39 territorial police forces in <br>England - plus British Transport Police - are currently signed up to local <br>protocols for those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983. The other 3 <br>forces report that they are in the process of agreeing such protocols with <br>local partner agencies.<br><br>The agreement of mental health protocols by local agencies is promoted at <br>national level, including through the Mental Health Act 1983 Codes of Practice <br>and the new national Mental Health Crisis Care Concordat, which states that:<br><br>‘Every area should have a local protocol in place, agreed by NHS commissioners, <br>the police force, the ambulance service, and social services. This should <br>describe the approach to be taken when a police officer uses powers under the <br>Mental Health Act'.<br><br>The Mental Health Crisis Care Concordat can be found at: <br>https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/281242<br>/36353_Mental_Health_Crisis_accessible.pdf<br><br>The Department of Health, supported by the Home Office and Mind, is encouraging <br>local areas to sign-up to the principles of the Concordat, with the expectation <br>that all areas in England will have signed local declarations by December <br>2014. 	answer	answer answer text <p>The Treasury Solicitor's Department (TSol), which provides legal services to a number of government departments and bodies, conducted an annual client satisfaction survey in January 2014 The outcome of the survey was reported to the TSol Board and is one of the measures agreed with TSol by HM Treasury.</p><p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) are conducting a survey of victims of crime who had received the revised victim communication and liaison scheme which is currently being piloted by three CPS Areas. It is for individual schools to decide how much extra they choose to spend on educating pupils whose first language is not English.</p><p>Through their local funding formulas, local authorities may allocate funding to schools on the basis of the number of pupils in the school who speak English as an additional language and entered the state school system in the past three years. Local authorities allocated £233 million in this way in 2013-14.
