Schools in Scotland do not receive funding from the Department to educate English pupils attending there. Similarly, where Scottish pupils attend English schools, the Scottish Government does not pay for this.Education is a devolved matter. The way funding is allocated to Scottish schools is a matter for the Scottish Government. In England, schools receive funding for the number of pupils attending the school, regardless of where the pupil resides.
