star this property answer text Public authorities will need to comply with the fundamental principles relating to processing of of personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). That includes ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. The GDPR strengthens the rights of data subjects in several key areas. For example, they will be able to access their data more quickly than provided for by the current law. Public authorities will also need to appoint a 'data protection officer' to inform and advise the organisation on compliance with the GDPR, subject to the remaining stages in the House of Commons and House of Lords.<p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <br /><p>The NHS Trust Development Authority (TDA) is monitoring and working closely with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust to support the Trust to address these issues.</p><br /><p>We are advised by the TDA that the Trust’s Race Equality Workforce Engagement Strategy involves multiple work streams led by area specific engagement groups to address specific issues and challenges across all areas and levels of the Trust. It was launched at the joint Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Network and Trust conference in October 2014.</p><br /><p>A programme board was established and the first meeting was in February 2015. Programme board meetings are co-chaired by the Chief Executive and the Chair of the BME Network in order to provide oversight, performance management and governance of the race equality action plans developed by the various engagement groups.</p><br /><p>We are assured by the TDA that the Trust followed procedures correctly in appointing the Chairman of the Trust to hear a right of appeal from nine BME members of staff against the decision of Henrietta Hill QC.</p>

The data may not include students aged 19 - 25 where their partner is the claimant. No distinction is made between a student attending further or higher education.</p><p> </p><p>It is possible that a claimant might submit more than one application annually. star this property answer text <p><em>Price caps for agency staff: proposed roles and consultation</em> was published by the NHS Trust Development Authority (TDA) and Monitor on 15 October 2015. A copy has been attached. The aim of the price caps is to reduce spending on agency staff and to bring the pay of agency workers in line with those of substantive staff employed in the NHS.</p><br /><p>The NHS TDA and Monitor are currently consulting on these proposals. Any decision on introducing price caps will be subject to the results of the consultation.</p><br /><p>The proposed price caps do include mechanisms that enable an overriding of the rules should there be any potential compromise to patient safety.</p><br /> more like this

star this property answer text <p><strong></strong></p><p>The Government is spending significant sums this year (circa £130 million) to train and develop the adult social care workforce; this includes £12m for the Workforce Development Fund for training to develop the workforce.</p><br /><p>Whilst pre-contract discussions had taken place, no formal financial commitment was made to this specific project by UK Commission for Employment and Skills and the project has been informed that funding is not available.</p><br /><p>In order to prioritise funding on the adult skills participation budgets, savings are being made from supporting budgets such as the UKCES.</p><br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /><p>The Government is working closely with its delivery partners, Skills for Care and National Skills Academy Social Care to improve the level of skills of the adult social care workforce.</p><br /><p>The adult social care workforce has a key role to play as service users experience of care depends heavily on the sensitivity and compassion of care workers. Better skills and training are an important part of raising standards overall.</p><br /> <br /> <br />
