These trends have long been considered to provide a good indication of the broad state of our wildlife.</p><p> </p><p>In November last year, the Government published <em>Wild Bird Populations in England, 1970 to 2017</em>. Overall, this showed that the combined all-species index has changed little compared with around 45 years ago. These plans provide a long term, sustainable policy framework for local authorities, to manage the risk of coastal change over the next 100 years.</p><p> </p><p>Government is working closely with coastal authorities on a review of shoreline management plans to ensure they are up to date and using the best evidence. The six year Capital Investment Programme will provide Flood Defence Grant-in-Aid as shown below for flood and coastal risk management schemes by NUTS 1 regions.</p><p> </p><p>Where appropriate, property level flood protection measures are integrated within flood risk management schemes. Between April and September 2016, the Flood Re Scheme has provided backing to 53,000 policies.</p><p> </p><p>We have no powers to force insurers to make use of Flood Re. These powers, in the Water Act 2014, relate to the flood obligation. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2016 answer text <p>The Government takes air pollution seriously and is committed to improving the UK’s air quality, reducing health impacts, and fulfilling our legal obligations.</p><p> </p><p>Directive 2008/1/EC, the Integrated Pollution, Prevention and Control Directive (IPPCD) has been superseded by the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED, 2010/75/EU) which brought together seven related directives including the IPPCD and the Large Combustion Plant Directive.</p><p> </p><p>Until exit negotiations are concluded, the UK remains a full member of the European Union and all the rights and obligations of EU membership remain in force. During this period the Government will continue to negotiate, implement and apply EU legislation.
