As part of that we are engaging a broad range of stakeholders. This judgment found two aspects of the disclosure and barring regime disproportionate. The Home Office has worked closely with the Ministry for Housing Communities and Local Government and the Ministry of Justice to ensure that respective funding streams are aligned so as to provide all specialist domestic abuse services with the opportunity to access funds appropriately.</p><p>From April 2020 to date, £488k has been allocated to Domestic Abuse communications to raise awareness that police response and support services remain available, and to signpost help and support. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/07/2020 answer text <p>We have invested £70m over two years into the 18 areas worse affected by serious violence in England and Wales to support them in developing a Violence Reduction Unit (VRU).</p><p>VRUs are required to work across agencies to identify the root causes of violence and develop a strategy to prevent and reduce violence. We expect them to build on this platform over time and we hope to see VRUs operating beyond the end of 2021. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/07/2020 answer text <p>Last year, the Government successfully rolled out Independent Child Trafficking Guardians (ICTGs) to one third of local authorities in England and Wales.</p><p> </p><p>The next ICTG evaluation, which will have a particular focus on the role and impact of the Regional Practice Co-ordinator, is due to be published later in the year.</p><p> </p><p>The continued national roll-out of ICTGs will be progressed as part of the recently established NRM Transformation Programme, which is designed to make sure we have a system that effectively identifies and delivers needs-based support for child and adult victims of modern slavery, is legally robust, sustainable and resilient to misuse. The legislation was designed to harness pressure from civil society and we are pleased that NGOs are using company statements to hold businesses to account, including contacting businesses that have not yet published statements.</p><p>The Government does not monitor compliance with section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Two independent repository websites have been set up to collate these statements. The Government is not involved in running or funding either website. Both websites make different estimates of the total number of statements published so far. The latest estimates can be accessed online at <a href="http://www.modernslaveryregistry.org/" target="_blank">http://www.modernslaveryregistry.org/</a> and <a href="https://tiscreport.org/" target="_blank">https://tiscreport.org/</a></p><p>The Government has strengthened guidance for businesses and recently wrote to over 10,000 businesses that may be required to publish statements reminding them of their obligations and providing useful resources. We expect this activity will further increase the number of statements published.</p><p>In October the Government also launched a new ‘Business Against Slavery Forum’. This aims to establish a new partnership between Government and business to accelerate progress in tackling modern slavery.
