answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/11/2018 answer text <p>The Department for International Trade supports exports for the whole of the food and drink sector and in 2017 game meat exports were worth £7 million.</p><p> </p><p>Game meat exports receive the same level of support as the rest of the food and drink sector through initiatives such as the GREAT campaign and the recently launched Export Strategy. We also work with a variety of food and drink trade associations to ensure that the Government is providing the right kind of support. The Department for International Trade is responsible for supporting British businesses around the world and promoting trade ties with country partners. In relation to defence exports, the Department for International Trade (DIT) supports the Defence Growth Partnership (DGP) which aims to secure a competitive, sustainable and globally successful UK defence sector.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has a track record of success in its defence industry, achieving defence orders worth £9bn in 2017 and sustaining tens of thousands of highly skilled manufacturing and engineering-based jobs across the UK.</p><p> </p><p>HMG takes its arms export responsibilities very seriously and operates one of the most robust arms export control regimes in the world. There are 9 HMTCs across 9 overseas regions. The budgets include the costs of locally engaged staff, non-pay related expenditure and devolved marketing expenditure in each of the regions.
